Courtyard Detroit Dearborn

We stayed at the hotel for 1 night. The territory is nice and clean, they have their own bistro with Starbucks coffee. The room was clean, spacious enough for 2 people. Good bed, good pillows (soft and hard). Water pressure was really good as well as the body wash etc. Unfortunately, Wi-Fi was not working during our stay. Location of the elevator is not the most convenient. The courtyard looks comfy and calm. It can be a good venue for special occasions.

The internet was trash. Tried to connect my Xbox to the internet, it wasn't working. Tried to watch Amazon prime, internet wasn't working for it. They did not have complimentary toothbrushes which was crazy to me. Also, why is the mirror and sink OUTSIDE the bathroom? Makes no sense to me. The patio door doesn't even open all the way. As expensive as this hotel is you would think it'd be better.

Mrs. Clarissa Smothers GM we recently had to stay at your Marriott courtyard on Mercury Dr., March third through March 6. My husband and I and I came in to make arrangements for my uncle‘s funeral. The first two days were on Marriott Bonvoy Points of above 43,000. The second two days we’re on a charge card add at reduce rate because my daughter is part of the Marriott corporation. We were so busy making arrangements for my uncles funeral we didn’t ask to move rooms due to the inconvenience. We always stay at Marriott and find that normally it is very comfortable. I have some complaints. There was a leak in the back of the commode where you were always slipping unless you put towels down. Black mold in the shower round the handle part tub and shower were never completely cleaned. Extremely dirty carpeting in room 114 the heater would never heat up the room. It kept turning off. By the time we left for home I was extremely sick and could barely talk. The weather was cold, damp and rainy and we had very little heat. It was very uncomfortable to get a good night sleep. Room and property a little outdated Staff was great Location was ok. It was overall OK. Staff like I said were helpful allll the time.

The rooms were clean and spacious, the property well maintained, and everyone we encountered was very pleasant. The best part of the stay, and the main reason I am writing this review, was the quick assistance of the afternoon front desk manager when we had an unexpected health issue. Unfortunately I did not get his name, but it was a Saturday evening around 10:00 when the event occurred. Thank you sir, I will always remember you for the kindness you showed us!

We stayed in Dearborn for one night .The staff was excellent , the hotel was very very clean . The location was 5-10 min away to all places we were visiting . I would definitely stay at this hotel again !

Two evenings ago I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott in Dearborn, Michigan. It has been completely updated, is spotlessly clean and is thoroughly modernized. However, the reason to stay at this property, or any Marriott property, is because of employees like the afternoon-evening shift manager, Shontel. Shontel professionally, courteously and personably - with individual attention answering individual questions - checked in a host of arriving guests within a short period of time. The culture of this Courtyard by Marriott continued with a friendly greeting by a young lady in housekeeping as I walked to my room. I returned to the lobby later that evening to purchase a light snack at the Bistro, and Shontel was serving double duty as the desk receptionist and Bistro cook! The food was great, and I joked she had a future as a chef. It turns out she had worked as head cook at a nursing home before joining Marriott. Discussion continued with what led most of the guests to this Courtyard (corporate visitors), but her favorite times were serving returning Wounded Warrior groups. As she continued towards the front desk, I told her I hoped she would get off shift soon. She laughed, held up a book on Gothic Literature and said she would likely be up late studying to complete her BA degree in Communications at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Shontel’s service in all capacities of her life is a credit to Marriott International, Inc., and to all young people of America. Well done.
