The place is having major renovations and we had one of the renovated rooms. Shame the curtains aren't thick enough to keep out daylight!! It was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was new and very smart. The cafe/bar is lacking in atmosphere but the food was fine and the wine very reasonable. The shuttle driver was lovely but be warned that they don't run after 6pm. All in all would use again at the price

We arrive ro find no staff on reception and loud drilling noise echoing throughout the building, due to renovation work. When staff eventually came to reception, as a *** couple it was offensive to have our double room reservation questioned over and over again. You've booked a double room you will want a twin? No, Are you sure I can give you a twin? No we would like the double. Are you sure it's no trouble to give you a twin? No we are married this is my husband we would like the twin. If you are sure?.... The hotel is dated and the corridors to the rooms smell of sour milk. The whole place looks liked it closed down twenty years ago.

The lobby looks like it's had most of the money thrown at it whilst the food menu is expensive it's far cheaper to order from Domino's down the road in bishop's Stortford.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in we also booked for parking and additional shuttle to airport for 2 people £36 we arrived back called hotel 12 TIMES nobody answered so we had no choice to get a cab another £25 was told manager gone home no shuttle service ABSOLUTELY disgusting to leave us at airport rooms were very basic food was not good either would definitely not recommend this hotel

Basic hotel, no frills. Clean enough, bar was closing down when I arrived at 9.30, but no real ale available anyway so settled for tea in my room.
The room was ok, but thats all.
It was, however, absolutely freezing cold in there. I was unable to adjust the radiator.

We arrived very late in the night, just after 3am. There was no one on the desk for 20 minutes, despite calling twice.
I was not impressed and to add insult to injury, there was no apology either when the receptionist did arrive.
It is advertised that the hotel is open 24/7.
Other than that, the stay was fine.
