La Residencia, A Belmond Hotel, Mallorca

In a word - stunning. We chose La Residencia for our first trip to Mallorca. My husband and I spend a good amount of time in Mediterranean settings when we are on vacation, and I cannot offer enough positive feedback for the details and the lovely team at La Residencia. The staff is lovely and proactive - from the check-in team, to the breakfast staff (Alina and Eva in particular), to the staff at the restaurants (Miguel stands out as having been so helpful and kind, to Melanie in the shop (who also seems to have a way with the donkeys, and last but not least, the spa team (both proactive, helpful AND best massage I have had in years) - all wonderful. On site, hundreds of old growth olive trees and citrus trees and flowers line the property. All three restaurants are wonderful, and the team at El Olivo was so kind to work with my difficult food restrictions even with a high end tasting menu. The Mediterranean fare at Miró and La Traumonta was fabulous. More on the details. Every night we came back to our room (super cozy by the way) from dinner to find a little gift by our bed table. The daytime housekeeping team left beautiful fruits each day, always changed out for something new. And when we left - another special gift. Totally unexpected - and truly memorable. It's not often that I want to stay onsite at a hotel for most of a trip. I am adventurous type and appreciate the 'wander'. La Residencia has a great little poet's walkway lined with olive trees, and daily morning and afternoon activities with something for everyone (wine tasting, olive oil tasting, yoga, meditation, and more). While we did go offsite a couple times, and we hiked a bit in the area, we could have well stayed on site the entire time and been happy. Beautiful hotel. Great staff. We will recommend it and we will return. Thank you everyone at La Residencia. :)

I recently stayed at La Residencia on Mallorca, and it was a letdown. While the property itself is beautiful, the rooms are outdated and severely overpriced for what they offer. The management, particularly General Manager Thomas Moon, was lacking. Mr. Moon was not present during our stay, which might explain the overall poor management. It's unacceptable for a luxury hotel to be so poorly run. To make matters worse, there was a very loud music festival during our stay, and guests were not informed in advance. This lack of communication significantly impacted the tranquility one would expect from a high-end establishment. There are definitely better places to stay on Mallorca than La Residencia. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Most beautiful property . 5 star all around . Can’t say enough praises about this place. Service was outstanding- hotel is stunning . Food and drinks phenomenal. Definitely going to stay again or another Belmond location.

My wife and I have had the great fortune to have been guests of many of the most acclaimed hotel resorts in Europe. Our stay at the La Residencia ranks in the top five. The property was otherworldly in its beauty. The staff, amenities and services were superlative. On the date of our departure, the hotel granted our request for a late check out. I had asked for a departure time of 2 pm. They responded that they would accommodate us until 4 pm without a moment’s hesitation. Well done!

We must have been the unluckiest guest ever that exactly the weekend we go to la Residencia there is an extremely Loud music festival happening, right in front of the hotel. Impossible to enjoy the evening at the hotel and absolutely impossible to sleep. Why on earth did the hotel manager not inform his guests about this festival so we would have known in advance. So disappointing,

Great place to stay, amazing pool area and fantastic restaurants and singers. Very relaxing break. Would recommend visiting if you have the chance
