Lovely hotel, beautiful setting. Tranquil, chilled. Breakfast is amazing, as is the food we ate in the restaurant. The room is fine but slightly dated. Apart from that a lovely one day two nights stay here.

Kan geen negatieve dingen bedenken. Mooie grote kamers en netjes. Erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Goed ontbijt en als het rustig was, bediening aan de tafel. Anders ontbijtbuffet. Mooie tuin en plekken om te relaxen

Goede kamer, handig ingedeeld met aparte badkamer met ruime douche met een heerlijke waterstraal. Mooie tuin, vrij steil hellend pad van receptie, restaurant naar kamers. Groot restaurant met aardige kaart. Het ontbijt werd erg traag bediend, lastig als je op tijd weg wil. Rustige ligging, muv de moskeeën rondom.

We utilised this hotel either side of our travels into the rainforest & jungles of Sumatra. A great prepping area with a lovely pool to relax, a brilliant on site restaurant and although on a busy road, the driveway and grounds are peaceful and allowed for a great night's sleep. Room was simple but provided everything we needed. Also a cracking spot to take a look around Medan itself, only a short Bukak ride away!

Das schöne Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb vom Zentrum ist ca. eine Stunde vom Flughafen entfernt. Die Anlage ist liebevoll in die Natur integriert und man findet hier Erholung pur. Die Eigentümer sowie das Personal sind super nett, die Zimmer sind geräumig und hochwertig ausgestattet, das Frühstück sowie das a la Carte Essen lässt keine Wünsche offen. Wir haben eine Nord-Sumatra Rundreise über die zugehörige Agentur Trijaya gebucht, die beim Deli River Resort begann und auch wieder endete. Und somit haben wir insgesamt drei entspannende und erholsame Nächte dort verbracht.

The Deli River team is truly fantastic. Always friendly, considerate and helpful. We deliberately chose to stay at the hotel for 7 days to get a feel for the area. The hotel is a wonderful starting point for various excursions within the country. We had a great city tour of Medan with a very knowledgeable driver. Additionally, we took a day trip to a Terjun Sipiso Piso and Berastagi waterfall. Our driver/guide was very knowledgeable and spoke very good English. This is not always the case in Sumatra. Tours can be booked directly at the hotel - they have their own tour company, which is very convenient. The hotel itself is very well located, quiet. It is designed like an oasis and the swimming pool offers a magnificent view of the Deli River. We always eat very well and the breakfast is really delicious. Dirk A. Buiskool and his wife are very knowledgeable hosts and a pleasure to chat with. Dirk A. Buiskool wrote a book about the historic city of Medan and has incredible expertise. We enjoyed our stay very much and can absolutely recommend this hotel to everyone.

A wonderful oasis in Medan! Our family of four had a great four night stay in this beautiful hotel. The food was top notch, with amazing Indonesian and western options. The wait staff were highly attentive and professional with warm smiles abounding. We stayed in the family room with plenty of room for us all. The grounds were immaculate, and we really enjoyed the infinity pool overlooking the Deli river valley. Most memorable will be our time spent with the Buiskool family, the owners and operators, who made us feel so welcome and who so warmly shared their stories and experiences with us.
