Red Roof Inn Lansing West - MSU

I will not stay at this hotel again. I like that it’s pet friendly, but they need to clean the rooms more thoroughly when people check out with pets. The area rugs in the room were stained yellow and had a very strong pet oder. I contacted the front desk and they came and sprayed air freshener which only masked the odor for a short time. The bedroom spread had a cigarette burn and was ripped. Bathtub needs reglazed and lamps tans had rust on them. My trip was for business and the location was only 8 minutes away from the conference. The room is nothing like the photos. I should have done better research before booking. My bill for the weekend was 402.00 which is way too much for this place. I was expecting what I saw online and didn’t get it. The location is great. Lots of restaurants, stores and next to the freeway. There are a lot of other hotels in the area that I wish I had searched out before booking.

The shower had really good water pressure. Receptionist came up to show us proper way to get lights above sink to come on (yes, it shouldn't be that difficult but I had problem :() and also delivered a hair dryer to us. Lobby was very inviting and cozy. The facility could use some updating (chips in tub, few holes in bedspread, side chair has (2) huge areas in arms that are torn away). Dirt seems to have accumulated in corner behind the bathroom door. Nice flooring. For the price; not bad. Location very good. Shopping, restaurants nearby including sit down and fast food.

The absolute worst hotel and staff I have ever came across!! Never ever again!

Shower didn't work vending was empty plan on staying other places and we come to Lansing at least once a month sometimes twice so someone will get out business didn't even get a offer to change rooms was sold out will be talking to out venders as they stay on town as much as us

Amanda is awesome! She is so very nice and friendly. We are here as a family for work and she made us feel so welcome. She makes sure we have everything we need and goes out of her way to make sure that she accommodates us. She knows we have a dog and leaves treats every time. She is so good at what she does, I would love to just deal with her and her only as a housekeeper!

The staff is fantastic and we are very grateful for all the help. We are homeless and the staff is very understanding of what me and my kids are going through. They are also very caring about our family pet. The rooms are clean and they always are asking if we need anything

Room was great and cleaning, check in was a breeze.
