Best Western Deming Southwest Inn

We have stayed at this hotel before and is always very nice. Rooms are clean and the staff has always been accommodating. This was particularly nice stay as we were greeted by Treasure. She was an absolute joy. So friendly and helpful. Nice to see someone with great energy and pride in their work.

Everything about the place is excellent

Stayed at this location based on the reviews. It is a very popular place with overnight guests who stay for area jobs, but also travelers. Our room was clean, something I was concerned about based on reviews I read previously. However, we soon discovered later that night that our shower did not work. The faucet spun around and failed to produce or spit out any water. The importance of having a shower either at night or in the morning is rather paramount to the entire stay in a hotel room. It rather dampened our experience. The bed slept well and it was quiet, so that was a bonus. Breakfast we opted out of, and based on our friend who was with us, it was a wise decision. The guys who stay at the hotel cleaned out many of the breakfast items for themselves leaving very little for the other guests who were staying. We did tell the front desk as we checked out the issues with the shower, which is unfortunate that no one else reported it before us. It is unlikely that we would stay at this hotel again in the future.

We choose this place because it had truck parking. I went to the front desk and no one would came up. I hit the bell twice. I even open the door a few times so the door can chime. Still no one. It wasn't until the lady just happen to walk by the front desk and saw me. The clerk was NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL. Not once did she even smile. I did not like the experience with her at all. We are rewards members and didnt received anything not even a bottle of water like we usually do when being a reward member. That clerk did not even THINK AT ALL. she gave us a room car from our truck AND put us between to a crew of working men that just ended up hanging out in front of our room and you can hear everything is going on. It took me forever to fall asleep and we had to get up at 2am the next day. Over all the lady at the front desk made this experience horrible. The room itself was nice. The bed was comfortable when I finally fell asleep. Clean room. Nice shower but water pressure was low.

Very convenient place to stay while traveling. Close to the highway. Rooms were clean and updated. Liked the fact that all rooms were ground level and we could park right in front of our room. Breakfast was good also.

The property was okay. They were going through renovations; the new rooms were great, but the old ones were -well, a little outdated. My issue was actually with *******. I booked two rooms with two beds, and when I checked in, I was given two rooms with single beds. This hampered our stay and we had to look for a different hotel for the other party -this one was full by then.

We booked 2 rooms during a family road trip, and the rooms were next door to each other. My 80 year old uncle had called ahead to book these rooms, but they did not show the reservation when we arrived. Thankfully, they could accommodate us. The motel has been upgraded, and the room was aesthetically pleasing. The window shade produced a dark room despite a well-lit parking lot. We traveled with 2 dogs, and there was an area to walk the dogs in the parking lot that did not interfere with traffic. I felt safe staying at this establishment. A hot breakfast was provided with a large variety of items, including scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles as well as yogurt, boiled eggs, dry cereal, packaged oa**eal, breads, coffee, and juice. Unfortunately, the bed was not comfortable. The pillows were so soft, stacking them together still did not provide the support I sought. The shower handle was broken, coming off when I tried to turn on the water. The trash in the outside garbage cans surrounding the property, including the dog park, was overflowing. I am accustomed to a quiet environment at night, so listening to the train coming through town every 30 minutes constantly woke me up. The train sounded like a jet powering up its engines on a runway. The refrigerator was noisy, even when the door was closed on the cabinet where it was housed. I will not be staying here again.

We booked our ADA room several weeks in advance. The day of our arrival we had Dr appoin**ents that prevented up from arriving early. We arrived around 8pm to find that they had given our ADA room to someone else. We were given another room that they claimed to be accessible. However, there was a 3 inch step into the room! Went back to the office and was told that was all they had and that the room was accessible once you got inside! But I could not get into the room due to the 3 inch step. We were forced to look for another hotel. Lucky for us we found a better hotel just down the street. Hubby called the manager the next morning and was told there was nothing they could have done differently and could not understand why we "were so upset if we would be getting our money back"!! We got our money back but that did not compensate for the emotional and physical distress. I am a Polio Survivor dependent on a power chair.

I made a reservation here for 2 rooms for myself and my parents. On our way my mother fell at a rest area and we had to take her to the hospital. It was 3:25 pm and I knew I could at least cancel 1 of the rooms. So I tried and got the run around from person after person with Best Western Rewards. I asked for a manager and got the same trea**ent. They said because I couldn’t remember my street address number from an old address they couldn’t verify it was me (I was driving my mother to the hospital during all this). Then at 4:02 they told me I was too late. To top it all off the hotel person called me at 4:45 am to ask why I didn’t show? Who does that? I explained my mother fell and we had to take her to the hospital. He didn’t care either. I hope they were happy to keep my money and not honor their free cancellation policy. I will also be canceling my Best Western Rewards program because of how they treated me as well. Awful service!
