The hotels is very nice and neat. Friendly people, the breakfast is delicious. There is not much to do in the area. But it is a small island, so you can easily reach Den Burg by car. You can also cycle there, which is fun to explore Texel

Terrible. The customer service did nothing but put obstacles on our path, rude and highly unprofessional. You can not even order a beer at the bar without the bugbear giving you the pain on your ass you deserve for being a tourist on Texell. Unless you speak Ducth, dont go, they will only tell you to go away.

If you are a couple (preferably dutch and elderly) or a family, this could be a perfect budget solution and a nice stay. Otherwise you might not feel very welcome there, the customer service is honestly rude and in general in Texel island, if you have a problem, you're on your own. Many websites had outdated or missing information in english. The breakfast was OK. We only got one key card to the room which was a hassle. The beds are for couples, and they couldn't be separated which was uncomfortable. The room temperature was really hot, no air conditioning. There is a side door to the building which was nice.

July 2018. Our TVTAS trip started on Texel. We stayed in this hotel for several days. Wonderfully located in Den Hoorn. We could explore the village on foot and choose from several restaurants. We could also explore part of the island by bike from here. We did the furthest part by car. Our room was wonderfully quiet with a view of the garden. And it was especially wonderful to relax at the bar and the sofas. Our breakfast every morning was delicious to start with.
