De kamer was licht en stil en heel schoon. De mensen zeer vriendelijk en gastvrij. Een grote sanrader. Het ontbijt was heerlijk.

Na de bruiloft van onze dochter overnacht in Herberg Swaen, Den Ham. Een fantastisch verblijf, mooie kamers en een overheerlijk ontbijt. Vriendelijke en behulpzame gastheer en gastvrouw, wij voelden ons thuis en op ons gemak. Een leuke bijkomstigheid: op de kamer lagen ook oordoppen. Hierdoor heb ik eindelijk de goede oordoppen gevonden.

Brinkdorp Den Ham presenteert zich graag als trekpleister voor de toerist......behalve op zondag! Gelukkig zijn er die de toorn van de Christelijke Mannenbroeders trotseren en wél gasten ontvangen. We troffen het. Het terras was uitgebreid tot op het schaduwrijke brinkplein zelf. (met muziek kapel en waterpomp). We maakten een keuze uit de lunchkaart. Daarvoor geldt: kwaliteit voor kwantiteit. Keuze uit soepen, bowls en broodjes. De laatste bestaan uit enkele sneetjes boerenbruin met warm of koud beleg. Ik koos voor de rijkelijk belegde clubsandwich. Uitstekend! Voor de passerende wandelaars en fietsers is er ook een ijscounter.

Op een leuke locatie gelegen herberg waar je gastvrij ontvangen wordt. De verwarming van de kamer was kort voor mijn aankomst nog even hoog gezet. Gezellige goed ingerichte kamer waar je alles treft wat je nodig hebt. Goede boxspring, voldoende kussens, goed werkende regendouche en een apart toilet. Ik was er omdat ik een avondoverleg van mijn werk in een naburige gemeente had. Het ontbijt de volgende ochtend was helemaal top. Yoghurt, vers gebakken brood, croissant, vers fruit, vleeswaren etc. Hier ga ik zeker nog eens terug. Daarbij is Den Ham een leuk dorp in een prachtige omgeving.

Prachtige herberg, zeer mooi ingericht met leuke details. Anita en Alain zijn zeer gastvrij. Ze besteden veel zorg aan het ontbijt. Alles lekker vers en mooi opgediend. Al met al een aanrader om hier lekker te vertoeven. Het dorp zelf is heel rustig.
