This was our second time at the BB in Dessau, a great location, right in the city. Restaurants and shopping centers within walking distance. Breakfast was adequate. Great value for money. One small drawback: the reception is closed from 1pm to 5pm and you can check in online. All you need is your name and a booking number. This doesn't work if you booked through a portal. Luckily for us, someone from the staff was kind enough to help.

Basic hotel but cheap, clean and very well located near the pedestrian area with bars and restaurants. The room was small but nice, the bathroom comfortable apart from the soap of the shower that it was too hard to squeeze and I had to use the soap of the wash basin. The door of the room opens with a code but it is so heavy to push that I could hardly make it. Wifi is good, parking free. I had no breakfast because I deemed expensive.

As in all hotels in this chain that we have visited so far, there are comfortable, functional rooms with a shower at a reasonable price. Conveniently located, with free parking opposite, at least at times. Ideal as a starting point for visiting the Bauhaus and the Masters' Houses.

We booked the room a few days in advance and when we arrived at the hotel at 3 p.m. we couldn't use the automatic check-in because we hadn't received a reservation number (or email) from the hotel. Contrary to what was stated on the ******* website, the reception was also closed at that time, so we had to call the emergency number, but this only gave us an automatic message so we had to leave a message on the answering machine. A few minutes later a grumpy employee came and at first didn't want to believe that we hadn't received an email (we couldn't find one in our spam folder either!), then blamed ******* (we usually receive messages from hotels via ******* without any problems!) and then gave us the reservation number. The automatic check-in itself requires you to provide a lot of information and takes some time, so I definitely prefer checking in at reception. Otherwise the hotel was OK, and given the low price and central location, it was good value for money. There is a public car park right in front of the hotel.
