Henderson Beach Resort

Excellent resort in terms of amenities and cleanliness. We were thrown off by there not being a shuttle but online states one (employee said Covid ruined it). We visited several restaurants and both poolside bars several times. Service and food were both kinda bland, nothing to write home about besides the food at Beachwalk Cafe - best lion fish I’ve EVER had! Also, the beach was beautiful even though entire trip had double red flags, can’t predict Mother Nature. Renting chairs for the beach was a shock for us but luckily, Matt was super helpful and accommodating! Will return again soon!

Very family friendly place. Matt who is one of the beach managers and was awesome. He set up my family of four (kids 3 1/2 and 2 years old) with beach chairs and a front row set up when we showed up. He also helped me carry the wagon full of kids stuff up and down the stairs to the beach! He knew my struggle and said he would be right there soon as he and his wife were expecting a baby in August. Hope to come back again and stay at the property. And hopefully Matt will be here and we can see him again.

Hotel is absolutely beautiful. The only thing that needs improvement would be the wait staff in the restaurant Primrose. Specifically the morning breakfast waitresses. I still left gratuity only because I’m a good person.

The staff was refreshingly polite, always smiling, and genuinely interested exceeding our expectations. The room was light and fresh, very relaxing.

The experience was amazing! Everyone was very attentive and helpful. specifically Matt from the beach( set rentals) he was amazing and he made sure we had a great stay. Luis(bartender) and Loren were great too The place itself is beautiful and it has many different activities. We definitely coming back

My husband and I stayed at this resort for a night back in February. The resort itself was nice enough - the food at the restaurant was good despite the service lacking (no body greeting anyone, we had to ask after a few minutes if we should seat ourselves, the two on staff spent the majority of time talking behind the bar) and the grounds are nice. With that being said, I will never, ever suggest or recommend that anyone stay here. Upon check out, we had charges on our bill that shouldn’t have been there. When I asked for clarification, I was told that the charges were for room service. I advised that neither my husband or I ever ordered room service - we had a meal at the restaurant that was and should have been charged to our room, but we ate dinner outside of the hotel. At no point did we order room service via phone, at the front desk, etc. The man at the front desk spent about 15-20 minutes looking for a copy of the room service bill/receipt. When one could not be found, he took my contact information and advised he would reach out, as there was no trace of what may or may not have been ordered. It has been 3 months and we still have not been refunded or even advised on what this charge was for. I have emailed twice and called and have not received a single response. I would very, very much recommend staying elsewhere, as this hotel seems to have no problem charging its guests at the card on file for services not requested/provided and makes no effort to correct the mistake once it’s addressed. I would hope that this isn’t common practice, but the lack of response on their end when they could not provide a receipt or breakdown of what that charge was for leads me to believe that this is a common practice for them to make additional revenue while hoping guests will forget and the additional charge then gets pocketed by the hotel. In my opinion, this is a sleazy and unprofessional business practice and I would highly recommend taking your business (and your credit card) elsewhere to avoid fraudulent and unverified charges.

I loved the pool ...lazy river at night!

Was not told that half the pools were closed prior to arrival, also was not told there was an additional $25 a day parking fee on top of the resort fee

First, Matt with the beach chair services was amazing. I was having trouble getting our beach chairs reserved and he helped to get it all worked out. He gets a 5 star rating. Our room was very nice. However, the balcony was not. It felt like a sponge in places and there were spots that had sunk in. We felt like we would fall through. I didn’t feel like my kids were safe on the balcony. For that reason I did not give a 5 star overall rating.
