As usual my annual trip to Destin and residing at Jetty East was top notch!! Stepping out of the condo onto the sandy white beach is breathtaking. Everytime I think about staying somewhere else, I always end up here.

This was our second time staying at Jetty East and we booked directly through them instead of third party sites. The room we chose had been remodeled and was up to date with furniture and handicap accessible bathroom. The heated outdoor pool was great but when you go in the winter time, expect some construction or updates to common areas taking place. Not a big deal but don't be surprised. Great location on the beach and you are close to the main drag and all the attractions. Would definitely stay here again.

We have been staying at Jetty East for close to 30 years. We absolutely love it, but are in doubt about returning. This time we stayed in unit 101C & while we loved the location & not having to worry about the no elevator at our end of the building….the unit is in definite need of some repairs. The faucets in the showers are falling off & don’t understand if the cleaning service is cleaning the tubs, how can they not report this & get them fixed? The kitchen is sorely lacking in amenities. Definitely needs more & new pots/pans. Some more dinnerware & flatware would be appreciated - we were constantly washing dishes. My biggest new disappointment with Jetty East is apparently the Homeowners Assoc Board has decided to outlaw personal umbrellas next year! So not only will you have the expense of the unit, but you will have to rent umbrellas! One chair/umbrella set up per unit is nice, but for a unit that will sleep 8???? Not to mention we had small children that need shade. Fighting for beach space after spending so much money is not something we will continue to do probably.

My wife and I went twice in May. The first time mid-May unit 317A had problems--had to ask for a trash can for the bedroom, toilet was running constantly, shower curtain rod collapsed on my wife and was replaced, closet slider doors damaged/wonky, filthy rugs. The second time we checked in after Memorial Day and unit 614A was great but the stay was not. Their website parking policy does mention only one parking pass per bedroom but a 1 bdrm can have four people so you better all be in the same vehicle with all your bags. What is not stated is that no guess parking passes are allowed between Memorial Day and Labor Day--unlike say Sandpiper Cove. We could not even invite family over for dinner one night during our stay without making 2 car trips to get them and 2 trips to take them back. Meanwhile the parking lot is 50% empty and they are offering special June last minute booking rates. Wow, usually early bookings get the best rates (like for rental cars and airline tickets). As other reviews have noted, the 7th night free has been dropped and rates increased significantly in last couple of years, probably why the lot is half empty and special rates are being offered. But this ridiculous unposted parking policy impedes what might be increased beach service rentals by guests and better marketing of the property (visitors might want to stay here in the future seeing the property in person and hearing musicians in the gazebo). I do not know if peak season parking spot shortages and/or past issues with guests drove this parking policy, but it should be on the web site, and more importantly changed. At minimum, I see no reason why the policy couldn't be for stays of 5 nights or more you are allowed a one day guest parking pass on a space available basis (they know how many unrented units they manage). Leave the name of the guest at the gate, and they get a special color one-day pass. We have loved our many good times at Jetty East across the decades but frankly the board and members need to relook their policies with a customer experience focus. Meanwhile we'll never stay here again between Memorial Day and Labor Day. This from a 3 decades long loyal customer who went twice just during May 2023, if that means anything.

Jetty East is well-kept on the outside with a beautiful, large pool and 1 tennis court and several pickle ball courts. However 209A which I rented from the Jetty office was seriously over-priced, even in November, considering the fact that it is seriously dated with a toilet that often had to be flushed several times (a 1960s model). The bathroom tap was dripping and the faucets had never been replaced. The floor grout was really dirty in places, the toilet paper holder keeps falling off, and the bifold doors have never been replaced with some off the track. The beds were barely comfortable and one skirt was dirty and ripped. The bedroom is too crowded with 2 double beds instead of a king, making the closet barely accessible. The leather couch was very comfortable however there was no smart tv. These are all details that are hard to discern from photos. Other things to consider: The condos are organized around a central open space. This may be why, in addition to a dated ventilation system, why it is difficult to control the temperature and humidity within each unit. In fact the there is a loud de-humidifying unit that needs to be run most of the time to manage the humidity. The bedroom windows overlook the inner open space so if there are no black-out drapes, the bedrooms are very bright at night because of the lights that remain on at all times. Another issue is the elevators: they are very small and could potentially be quite busy if you have to access the upper floors. Also if your unit has a common door with another it can be noisy. 209A does, however the adjoining unit was not busy while I was there. If you're going to rent at Jetty East, make sure the unit has been renovated! Even 209A rents for $250/night in the high season. We paid just under $100/night in November but it was still too much.

We stayed in Unit 315A. The unit was updated-very clean and an excellent view of the Gulf. It was a great experince. We came in Sunday and stayed until the following Monday. Security gate in and out-beach service included. I would give it a 5-5 star.

I've never stayed at Jetty East, as in general, I don't like staying directly in Destin to begin with. Let me tell you now, this place is a hidden gem! Gated property, 24/7 security. 6 story building, with condos offering views of either the gulf or the jetty. We had a gulf-view 1 bedroom unit (609A). Our condo was cute, perfect for my 20 y/o son and I. Well appointed and updated. We arrived at 1pm on a Sunday and it was already ready for us. We unpacked and headed to the beach. Beach service is included in your nightly rate, which is unusual for Destin and a bonus. The beach was very large, stretching all the way over to the tip of the east jetty. A very large pool is on the property, as is a huge pavilion with grills and tables (and live music some evenings), perfect for family lunches and/or dinners when you don't want to go out to eat. My only complaints about this unit, in particular, are that the A/C unit was LOUD (it certainly blew cold air but it was noisy. The sleeper sofa mattress was awful (I wound up sleeping on the couch directly after trying that sofa mattress one night), but other than that, it was great. Not much to complain about. I would stay there again without reservations. Be advised, there isn't much nearby that doesn't involve a 5-10 minute drive (that includes a gas station), but it's near the heart of Destin so you won't have far to go. Recommended.

We visited Jetty East in July of 2022 with 74 of our closest friends for our wedding. We stayed in a one bedroom with a beach view. It was perfect for the 2 of us plus our son. Most rooms have a pull out couch. Resort was a little older but everything is very clean. We rented the Anchor Room on the first floor. I highly advise this for any large meetings or receptions. It is very affordable plus you get it for 2 days. So you have plenty of time to decorate and clean up. Each day you are able to get an umbral and 2 beach chairs right on the beach. Sand is white and water is clear nice beach.

Positives: Close to the beach and swimming pool, free parking, washer and dryer and television with cable. Negatives- One close by elevator. On the arrival date, we waited 20 minutes in the sun for the elevator. It was a long line. Once we finally arrived on elevator with luggage, it is no installation. Each time, we had to wait 15 minutes for the elevator. We were preparing to go and eat and someone is beating on the door to fix the internet. After dinner was delayed for 30 minutes. The internet repair guys had beers on their repair cart and a horrible attitude. I got ready to wash clothes and sheets and towels was left in the wash machine. It was one towel and one face towel in the bathroom. The sofa bed was hard as a brick. It was something sticking up from the back. This caused one of us to just sleep on the sofa. The furniture was very outdated. The char in the bedroom was horrible. I almost felled out several times.
