It was a last minute need to stay in Destin so we just picked the place on the web site. What a gem. Loved everything about it from the great location walkable to all the restaurants and shopping to the friendly staff. Winn Dixie within a 5 minute walking distance and it has a great hot buffet breakfast and the softest towels ever. Highly recommend the place if u don’t care to have to be on the beach.

BEWARE of this hotel at all costs. Woke up with bed bug bites. Assistant general manager Tyler claims to had the exterminator examine the room and found nothing so no compensation. He went as far as to suggest I had been lying on the beach… Do NOT Book this hotel unless you wanted an unpleasant souvenir.

The hot tub was welcoming on a chilly day. The breakfast room was bright and cheery, breakfast options adequate.

We arrived at 12:45 on check in day. They said they had a room available. I do understand if rooms are not ready for it is early in the day. They said we could check in BUT they would have to charge us $20.00 per hour until the 3;00 check in. In all of my world wide travels I have NEVER heard of such a thing. We left and returned at 4:30 and checked in. I did ask to speak to a manager and did. He explained that this is Wyndham's policy. Who knew?? Prior to my retirement I did do top level management for 39 years and do know that any manager can override this. So, my thoughts were they would rather have a room sit empty than make a customer happy. With this in mind, when we checked out at 7am the next day do we get refund of $20.00 and hour to the 11:00 check out? Think of that perspective how many people don't stay until the check out time. This is by far the most ridiculous policy I have every heard in all of my travels. I will NOT use Wyndham again due to this policy. The next night we checked into a hotel in New Orleans at 11am and they were more than happy to accommodate us.

Room was stuffy, no balconies. Window was secured until maintenance unlocked it. The TV had a terrible picture. Staff tried to help with a different one, but was still the same. Breakfast was good.

Staff is not friendly. When you ask questions they come off as if you are bothering them. I’d avoid this hotel for future travel.
