Wir waren für ein Wochenende im Hotel.
Das Zimmer war sehr schön eingerichtet und äußerst geräumig.
Das Badezimmer war sehr schön und komplett ausgestattet.
Das Frühstück war vollkommen ausreichend, aber nicht exclusiv oder außergewöhnlich.
Leider störte bis 23.00h die laute Musik von dem Weihnachtsmarkt direkt vor dem Gebäude.

The Detmolder Hof is one of the best addresses when it comes to accommodation in Detmold. They have been around since… I don’t know when, but my grandfather used to take us there for dinner when we were visiting and even my parents celebrated their wedding there in 1972.
The hotel retained it’s old school charm and luxuriousness, but still feels up to date. The staff is wonderful as well: welcoming and accommodating. (I needed an ironing board and iron, which was promptly provided and delivered to my hotel room).
I would always choose this hotel again!

Our first stop on our road trip through Northern Europe and Scandinavia. The owner/manger was very welcoming and we were shown to a lovely spacious room. I have never stayed where there was such a large bathroom, huge bath and separate shower. The bed was very comfortable too. We had dinner there and chose to eat outside as it was a lovely evening. It was extremely busy even though it was a Thursday so suggest you book.Breakfast was very good too, plenty of choice and the waitress asked us if we wanted any eggs etc. This was our first stop but will always be my favourite and would love to return here to this great hotel and town.

Wunderschönes, romantisch eingerichtetes Hotel mit tollen, im Landhausstil ausgestatteten Zimmern. Das Restaurant ist klassisch schick aber auch gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Dinner war sensationelle Sterneküche. Entsprechend enttäuschend war das Frühstück. Nur eine Marmeladensorte, kaum Auswahl an Aufschnitt und keine Salate - da hatte man schlicht eine andere Erwartungshaltung.

Ja, 3 Sterne! Ein Stern für die gediegene charmante Stadt Detmold. Ein Stern für das angenehme Wohnen im Hotel Detmolder Hof (großzügige Zimmer mit schönem Bad, gekonnt gestylt). Kann sein, dass es für den einen oder anderen zu viel "Blümchen" sind. Ein Stern für Jan Diekjobst und seine Küche. In einigen Kritiken werden Ambiente und Service bemeckert. Uns hat es bestens gefallen, leger auf der Terrasse zu sitzen und tollstes Essen zu genießen. Kann durchaus sein, dass manche Servicekräfte noch in der Ausbildung stehen, aber was soll`s...? Ist doch netter als schwarz gewandete Kellner, die "Hauben lüften"... Und wichtig ist doch, was auf dem Teller ist, oder?
