Small boutique hotel right by the bikini beach. Location is marvelous as you are 20m away from a beautiful beach and blue sea. Of course you do not find the endless open buffet tables you find in 5-6 star resorts but you aren't leaving the dining area feeling hungry. They arrange tours out to the reefs and diving spots at reasonable prices. The staff is very helpful sincere.

We returned to Blancura after last year's wonderful experience. This year too they did not betray our expectations. They pampered us for a week, beautiful excursions, staff always available and smiling.

We had dinner for two evenings at the restaurant of the Luis Blancura hotel. The price is $15.00 per person for a rich buffet with various courses based on vegetables, chicken, the inevitable tuna, pasta, noodles, rice, soups, beef, water, juice, dessert (quite paltry), coffee . the staff is courteous, even if the continuous presence to satisfy every request may be excessive. The request to pay the bill while still at the table is also rude.

We will leave tomorrow morning to return home and we already realize how hard it will be to start daily life again after spending ten days in paradise. This guest house is fabulous, simple but well cared for down to the smallest detail, managed by a staff always ready to satisfy any of your requests with a kindness that makes you tender. Immersed in a well-kept garden that offers shade for the hottest hours, excursions equally super well organized by a super close-knit group and in absolute safety with the possibility of snorkeling in places where there is more possibility of spotting turtles, dolphins, sharks.... All accompanied by a picnic on the beach and a double snack. We thank alternative Maldives for giving us the opportunity to have this experience on an inhabited island where simplicity and calm reign supreme.

We have just returned from a stay in this guest house, through Maldive Alternative, totally delighted. The place is enchanting, immersed in a very fragrant tropical garden and overlooking a breathtaking bay. We had the room on the beach, spartan but clean. Excellent food, light, tasty and plentiful. The guys at the guest house are unique treasures: Sumesh and Birah's kindness and hospitality warmed our hearts. And then there is the daily excursions chapter, incredible!!! Lisham and his crew took us every day to stretches of coral reef where we saw thousands of fish and turtles and then to beautiful desert islands where delicious picnics were set up in the shade of huts and shade shelters. A wonderful and exciting holiday: I wondered what so many people are doing in luxury resorts when they can have a similar experience.

Not having much time available, my partner and I decide to rely on alternative Maldives to spend a week close to New Year's Eve in the Maldives. We are offered the two remaining islands with related excursions and meals included. So we decide to go to Dharavandoo, also driven by the numerous positive reviews of the Lvis Blankura guest house. The first negative note is that once we arrived on the island they took us to the Lvis Village, a structure which, unlike the Lvis Blankura, is not located in front of the beach but rather 150 meters from the beach. The problem was not traveling 150 meters to go to the beach but the lack of clarity. I repeat and reiterate that Lvis Village had never been mentioned by the Maldive Alternative staff. Certainly if they had told me I would have evaluated differently whether to go to Dhravandoo or change the island. But the really bad thing was the organization by the staff for the promised daily excursions from 9.30am to 3.00pm. I admit that the weather was not kind during the past week but excluding one day of weather alert (yellow) , of the promised excursions we went out 2 days for about 3 hours per excursion and twice for a whole day. The reason was that we didn't go out for our own safety but I would add that we didn't go out due to the lack of a boat owned by the staff capable of taking us out. So much so that after pointing out our bad mood they organized better boats capable of taking us on some excursions. Obviously no one came forward to offer any semblance of a refund for previously paid excursions. For the record, we ate on land on the desert islands and not sitting at those beautiful tables as shown in the photos. I close by describing the embarrassing organization for returning to Malè. First they tell us that we will have left by boat and seaplane, then they tell us to bring forward the departure, then they cancel our departure. At that point I called the representative in Italy since time was passing and no one was giving us any certainty about when we would leave and the first response was: but do you know that it is 6:30 in the morning here? I knew it perfectly but in my opinion it was an urgent situation that needed to be resolved as soon as possible and I wanted to understand what we should have done if we had missed the flight. P.s. The staff at Blankura were very nice and helpful, nothing to complain about the staff.

Having been travelling to the Maldives for the past 28 years this was our first "guesthouse" experience. We stayed in a village room a minutes walk from the main hotel. 10 days of blissful peace. Transfer from Male airport arranged by the hotel with transfer taxi on arrival at Dharavandhoo. Room very comfortable, spotlessly clean, enormous bed and bathroom with choice of indoor or outdoor shower, toiletries provided. Outside seating area with water, tea and coffee making area available 24hours. A very useful drying area also provided making it very simple to wash and dry swimwear etc. Free WiFi available, we had good speed when using the Internet. Beach towels and yoga mats also provided. Excursions available from the hotel, good snorkeling from the hotel beach and also boat trips to other sites are an option. Unfortunately the Manta rays had left Hanifaru before we arrived but still a beautiful area to see turtles, sharks, many small fish varieties and hard corals. We were fortunate to see dolphins frequently over our stay. The bikini beach and local beach are kept very clean, sunbeds are provided by the hotel. Staff are truly lovely, nothing is too much trouble. The kitchen team went above and beyond to cater for our 3 years old Granddaughter's tastes every day. Food excellent, better than any of the resorts we have previously stayed at. The Maldivian night buffet meal was beyond excellent, no drummers/dancers but true Maldivian food, just perfect! Owners also take an active role in excursions , dealing with guests needs, arranging transfers etc and are very approachable. Wishing I could remember everyone's names, but to all at LVIS you now have a very special place in our hearts, we will see you all again, it took 28 years to find you we won't lose you now!!!!!

Excellent small hotel located right on bikini beach. Friendly staff, they really make you feel a valued guest. Rooms are complete and clean. Food is of excellent quality and with the buffets they have a good variation or when they serve a la carte they have plenty of choices. So a well deserved 5 out of 5 stars.

The rooms have a good size and are equipped with everything you need: enough storage space, hairdrier, fridge, safe, etc. We could sleep very well in the bed and the AC provided a much needed cool air. The rooms get a quick clean every morning. There are lots of different possibilities to chill in the garden and on the beach which is directly in front of the hotel building. The island does not offer many places to eat, but fortunately the food provided by the hotel kitchen is cheap and tastes very good. They even managed to provide something different for the dinner every day on our 7 days stay. The tours provided are OK, with the Mantas snorkeling tour being the main one that is done every time there is a possibility to see these cool animals. Unfortunately most of the tours are very weather dependent and get canceled pretty often. The hotel reef is great, filled with hundreds of different fishes. Flying foxes flying around on the island are another cool animals you can spot. The internet was very slow. After a small sandy part, the entrance to the water is filled with stones and dead corals so it is best to have shoes on. The island does not offer many activities, so if you are not snorkeling or diving it is not much else to do.
