The Nanee is a truly special experience. Well situated for easy access to all the sights of Bhaktapur, it’s a new property with splendid architectural and design details throughout. Not only were the rooms comfortable and well apportioned, perhaps the most important feature of the property is its staff. Umesh in particular was a fantastic guide - offering guided walks around the sights at dawn and dusk - sharing interesting insights that only a local would have. The restaurant was fantastic too - great food and service for breakfast, lunch and dinner. On the whole - an excellent stay courtesy of its kind and attentive staff. Thank you!

Viele Touristen machen Bhaktapur als Tagesausflug, wir haben hier eine Nacht verbracht. Das Hotel war der perfekte Ort dafür: die Zimmer sind zwar klein, aber liebevoll eingerichtet, die Lage nur wenige Gehminuten zum Stadtzentrum. Das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unbedingt zu empfehlen: Abendessen im Hotel eigenen Restaurant „community at the nanee“. Man hat uns vorgeschlagen, landestypisch für uns zu kochen und wir waren begeistert! Auch hier, sehr aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service. Und abends noch mal fußläufig ins Zentrum, wenn die meisten Touristen weg sind.

We were greeted with a very warm welcome by the staff and given a brief history of the design concept. After that we were shown to our room which we found very spacious. The room was ambient and the bedding was comfortable. The amenities were nice with a separate toilet and shower and a large bathtub. The water was nice and hot, perfect for washing away the fatigue. The hotel is a short 5 minute walk away from the durbar square so going back and forth was convenient as well. Definitely want to come back here again should the chance arise.

It was by far the best experience we've had,the hospitality was top notch,the food just as good and the architecture representing the local newari community with an essence of modern art and the staff memebers there just made us feel at home . The parting gift was something that made me feel so so special and a memory to cherish Thankyou The Nanee

- very lovely boutique hotel - probably the best in whole Bhaktapur - 5min walk to main culture sights - quality food - very friendly staff members & services - quiet area, perfectly for having a deep sleep - spacious rooms - relaxing atmosphere - very good value for money which been paid for food, beverages and room costs - the hotel offers no Spa, but had a very good recommendation to use for their customers. (10min by taxi) Things to improve: - rooftop area has much more potential as been used for now, but also needs to been cleaned more often. Especially due to dust situation in Nepal, it is always a little challenge, but furniture pillows ol on that rooftop area should be in a more clean condition, despite the dust situation, especially due to the potential this area has.

Fantastic boutique hotel with excellent amenities, helpful staff, and delicious food. We had many moments of delight throughout the entire experience, from the warm welcome ceremony to the personalized hand-written card, as well as the thoughtfully provided in-room snacks and games. Everything felt authentic and carefully crafted to enhance our stay.

We had the most amazing experience at the Nanee. It is a slice of peaceful heaven in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Khatmandu! The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, the rooms are exceptionally comfortable (akin to any Western hotel) and the food and drinks were delicious. We would stay here again and again - I cannot believe just how wonderful the stay was and how pleasantly surprised we were. Just the perfect experience.

What an absolute cultural gem, right in the heart of Bhaktapur! Beautiful boutique property, the best in Bhaktapur, with high attention to detail. The owners are centuries old descendants that have created with great passion, not only a wonderful property, that distills a fusion of cultural artifacts and contemporary design but also curated travel experiences. the experiences are unique, support artisans, culinary tours and local community which give a rich and immersive experience of this cultural city. It was a truly wonderful stay and experience, well done

You are amazed every time you come across such an island of relaxation in the chaos of a Nepalese city. Very close to the old town, which is well worth seeing, this boutique hotel is set around an open courtyard... Very friendly staff, a comfortable room and an excellent restaurant made the stay perfect for us.
