This is a lovely beach hotel. The staff are very pleasant and extremely helpful. The beach is amazing: soft sand and the water is pretty calm. The pool is big and well-designed. The pickleball courts and tennis courts are in great shape. We only tried the non-mechanized water sports like kayaking, sailing, water-bike, but these were all very nice. The cocktails from the different bars were all very good, and the food is excellent; all the restaurants are good, but the two restaurants we liked in particular were East and Indigo. Unless you are planning on going off-property to restaurants outside the hotel, I would strongly recommend the all-inclusive; otherwise the food and drink can get somewhat expensive. The meet-and-greet at the airport (which you get automatically if you are using the taxi service through the hotel) was helpful; we went through both immigration and customs in less time. The Ocean Suites are big and comfortable, everything works well. The only slight negative I would mention is that from the Ocean Suite you do get a view of the sea, but it is not a clear view; there are a lot of coconut trees and the Ocean Suites are set back quite a bit from the water, so you are mostly looking at the beach. I would not call this an Ocean Suite. As ******* gold customers, we were told we could get a free update, and we requested to be moved to Balcony Beach Suites (which have a much better view) but this never happened. But all in all, we strongly recommend Carlisle Bay

Quite possibly THE place to spend a Caribbean holiday. Fantastic surroundings, a wonderful beach, incredible rooms, four epic places to eat on site and to top it all a flawless crew of friendly, approachable, very capable staff who give their absolute best even when the temperatures are too much even for the guests! The place looks out on a beautiful sheltered bay with white, powdery sand with coral blue sea with which to enjoy a raft of adventures courtesy of on-site activities like sailing, paddleboarding and snorkelling. The four restaurants give you a delicious, varied set of menus with which to choose the finest cuisine and you won't tire of the multitude of cocktails and drinks available at the bars, one of which is right by the spacious swimming pool. Staff keep the place spotless - and are always there, ready to make you feel very special and very welcome. We enjoyed the great banter, fun and laughs with the bar and restaurant staff with whom we became almost family! Concierge and admin staff also were super polite and super efficient, attending to our every needs and the senior management were always attentive and always approachable. We must also mention the wonderful driver called Lava who took us everywhere we wanted and made extra special care we saw the very best of Antigua and understood its tremendous history. Ask for him at the main desk, you won't go far wrong with him. All in all, we had eleven unforgettable days in Carlisle Bay and would recommend it every time to the discerning holidaymaker who wants a little more than the standard sun and sand vacation. It is way, way better than that.

Have returned from another 10 days at this lovely hotel. We enjoyed the food in all the restaurants , and agree with the previous comment about the fish tacos ! There can’t be many better views than those when relaxing over breakfast or lunch at Indigo. The staff make every stay we have had here very special, they are all very friendly and attentive. Bay Suites are large and very comfortable with amazing views. Finally word is that I really don’t think the beach can be beaten! Hope to return ….

Another very lovely stay at Carlisle Bay . The staff really make the stay special and are all very friendly and attentive. The beach cannot be beaten! Bay Suites are large and very comfortable with amazing views. We enjoyed the food in all the restaurants , and agree with the previous comment about the fish tacos ! The only disappointment was the noise from a corporate event on one evening. Hope to return ….

Amazing views from such a perfectly, private beach! The staff are super friendly and attentive- they have a super set up for all water sports ! The food was super too, honestly the best fish tacos at the pier restaurant!! I have been here 3x and can’t wait to come back!

This luxurious hotel enjoys a beautiful location in an idyllic bay. All of the suites are beachfront with pretty views and there were always sunbeds available. The service was outstanding and the restaurants were excellent. It’s a little expensive with drinks particularly so but I couldn’t recommend this place much more for an amazing Caribbean holiday.

I very much wanted to love this hotel as we’d seen it a few years before whilst out on a sailing trip and had fallen in love with the location. However, we were disappointed on several fronts: The food is mediocre at best, we tried all 4 restaurants We had to ask on 4 separate occasions on the same day for the mini bar to be restocked and it was finally done the following day - we were not on the all inclusive package so a opportunity missed for the hotel Our room was not serviced at all on one occasion, so full bins, unmade bed and damp towels were the order of the day, despite advising the front desk of the issue I realise these are ‘first world’ problems but you choose to stay at a hotel for these luxuries and pay handsomely for the privilege and they really are basic asks for any hotel However, the biggest issue for us was the behaviour of the children on this resort and there were lots of them. They ran unchecked through the main restaurant and a simple rule set by the hotel could have avoided this, namely, children should remain seated in the restaurant for the comfort of All guests. It’s a common rule in most households so I’m sure parents would be on board with this courteous request It is a very family focused hotel so couples should be cautious before booking as the pool is filled with kids with inflatables and the associated noise is less than relaxing. Don’t misunderstand me, I love kids, I have 4 of my own but some parents allow theirs to become feral where normal standards of behaviour fly out the door! The management team, whilst very charming at the meet and greet drinks have clearly not got a handle on running this hotel as expected of a five star resort and it needs much improvement. We wouldn’t stay again as at this pricepoint, there are much better options, especially if travelling without children. Vaughan on the beach and Winston at the front lobby were the stand out staff members, professional, friendly and efficient. Other staff could be surly.
