Long searched for a 2-day accommodation option in Dickwell. Hotels on the first line are quite road. They ended up staying at this guest house and did not regret. Location on the second line from the main beach of Dickwell, from the road a little further down the block. But it is very quiet. At the same time to the beach eight minutes in a rush. To the beach Hirikitia can also get to the beach on foot, but longer - 20 minutes. Very close to the Food City market, market, fruit shops, a few cafes, but the food is the simplest. Next to the beach Hirikitia cafes and restaurants are a lot and on any taste - dinner went there. Very liked the main beach of Dickwella. Waves are, but jumping on the waves is quite safe (only not with small children). The beach is beautiful, the people are small, the coastal strip is wide, 2 beds with umbrella are standing on day 600 rupees. The room is new, large, clean everywhere, there is air conditioning, cabinet, lingerie dryer, very literally is set up with railroads and switches. There are bedside lights (for me this is a big plus). The bathroom is separated by a ribbon, hot water is. Very attentive and caring master Jamila. The breakfasts included for the choice are continental or Lancaine. We chose Lancaine. Everything was very enjoyable - delicious and satisfactory. When leaving the hotel, the host called us a fat to another beach at a good price. We can fully recommend this place for accommodation and we will be happy to come back.

The first best quality I saw in the hotel was maintained very good customer service. They are ready to listen to the customer very well and fulfill the need quickly. The hotel has beautiful access .The view is such a amazing🔥... I just had an nice massage on there Ayurvedic spa which I would recommend everyone who visit here. The room are very clean and Luxury I just love it. I attended an event here and the food and drinks were very good and the atmosphere was very good. It is equipped with a hall with good space. This is good place where you plan to a company get together and all. Talking about food, you can get different varieties of food here. And it's taste amazing.. Overall, I can say that I got a very good experience. A hotel worth visiting.🙌

The hotel is good and the service staff are very friendly. But don't come here to set a room with a lake view. In a small yard outside the hotel, there is no doorman who feels unsafe. The hotel's buffet dinner tastes good. The main building is the beach. There are fewer people than Merissa. There are some stray dogs on the beach.

My wife and I booked this hotel months ago to get one of the superior chalets for our stay. We were in Sri Lanka and a few days before this booking was to start I got a message from the Ravan to say there had been an overbooking error and we were being moved to a superior double with a private balcony and the price would be reduced appropriately. On arrival our superior double was probably the worst room in the hotel. The bathroom smells like an open sewer and our private balcony was the open corridor outside our room which had a couple of chairs, judging by the full ashtrays this was clearly smokers corner. When I said this was unacceptable they said they had another room to show me. This turned out to be a completely different hotel and I was expected to pay extra as this was more expensive. Again I refused. We were then left sitting in the corridor with our cases. I then had to run around looking for somewhere to stay. Not exactly what I planned. I would be very reluctant to take this hotels word for anything as even a confirmed booking is no guarantee.

Coming off a 16 day trip that included stays at a 5 star hotel in London, both Aman properties in Sri Lanka. and Soneva Fushi in the Maldives. We have stayed previously at a similar price point in South Africa, the Netherlands, the Caribbean, and Canada. Everything considered, Amanwella rates, for us, as the best that we have stayed anywhere in the world. The important caveat is that you must have your expectations set properly — this is a mature hotel set in a tropical location. Expect heat, insects, spiders, and lizards. Some may even make their way into your room. A quick phone call to housekeeping will solve any such issue immediately, in our experience anyway. Accept this, and the hotel is likely to rate as the destination of a lifetime. For us, the staff are easily the greatest asset of the hotel, starting with the general manager of the resort, Sonam. Every day he checked in on us, usually at breakfast, but sometimes more often than that. He was easy to speak to and we felt he was genuine in every respect. We missed a connection in Dubai and arrived late in the evening (11pm); regardless, he was present at our arrival along with a full contingent of staff for welcoming! Janith, our Guest Assistant, while only 26, rated as leagues above anything else we experienced on this trip or anywhere else. He is, without doubt, a rising star for Aman. Every need was anticipated and every request acted on in a timely fashion. Janith has continued to message us on WhatsApp since our departure, checking in on the rest of trip, and we feel that we made a real friend in Sri Lanka. Dinusha, who we met at the main restaurant, well, his smile is simply contagious, and he came across as down to earth, friendly, and eager to do whatever is necessary to make our stay memorable. His memory for our preferences is impeccable, which is something we did not find elsewhere as often as we would have liked. Ruwon, often a driver for us, treated us with consideration and spoke candidly while behaving professionally at all times. Again, we feel that we made another friend here during this trip! The resort is beautiful, well maintained, and while we spent more time on activities than on the beach, I assure you this is a beach resort first and foremost and that the beach is world class. The vibe is laid back but there is no element of luxury missing. Of everything we did, the lagoon experience was our favourite activity. Highly recommended. Make time also for a private dinner at the beach club. You will not regret it. I see that that past reviewers have expressed concern about the cost of food. The solution for us was to book the Fort & Beach package which included half board, experiences, and transfer between resorts. Perfection, Amanwella. Book it and enjoy!

We stayed for 2 nights and wished we stayed longer! Room was spacious and clean with an amazing view on the high floor. We had dinner buffet at Weligama Kitchen and food was great! Breakfast served there was delicious with great variety from Western , Asian, Indian but the Sri Lankan style breakfast was the best! Tide Bar is a great place to relax and have drinks with scrumptious snack too. We spent most of our time at the resort and it was very relaxing. The environment was suitable for couples and family at the same time. Lastly, service was top notch, everyone was friendly and helpful. TK and Kalpani from Weligama kitchen always checking on us, Sachinthaka , Asanka and Dharmika from Tides always cheerful and greeting us when we head there for drinks. Would definitely return and recommend to family and friends visiting beautiful Sri Lanka!
