Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sylva - Western Carolina Area

Hotel room is clean but abit far to the Harrah's ******. Breakfast is okay with hot and cold foods. Hotel has indoor swimming pool but not open yet.

The front desk women were very efficient and professional. Also, they were kind and polite. Hotel and room were clean and well furnished. Beds were SUPER comfy! Will definitely come back for another staycation. ☮️

Staff was EXCELLENT!! Rooms were clean, location was great after a long drive. We stayed at this hotel because if previous excellent breakfast at same hotel in Atlanta. This breakfast was not anything close to that one however staff was the best!! Thank you for making it feel like home even at 11pm check in.

Beware: Unscrupulous Practices at Omkar Hotel, LLC's Properties I feel compelled to warn others about my horrendous experience at the independently owned Holiday Inn Express operated by Nightstar Lodging, LLC, and owned by Omkar Hotel, LLC. This warning extends to their other properties in the Sylva area and beyond. My stay turned into a nightmare when I was unjustly charged an exorbitant amount of $125 for alleged damages to bedsheets and towels. Their claim? A few drops of BBQ sauce and some usage marks on towels. Despite my protests and requests for evidence, they provided pictures depicting minor stains—nothing resembling the claimed "blood." Throughout my 13-night stay, I encountered incompetence and rudeness from the management. Despite paying over $1500, I received no room service and faced unwarranted hostility when I followed instructions regarding trash disposal. To add insult to injury, when I inquired about an early departure, they threatened me with a $50 cancellation fee. It's evident that their policies are designed to squeeze every penny from guests, regardless of fairness or reason. Attempts to dispute the charges were met with further dishonesty from the management, who fabricated claims about signed agreements and additional damages. Their deceit knows no bounds. It's clear that Omkar Hotel, LLC and its affiliates prioritize profit over integrity and customer satisfaction. I implore anyone considering staying at their properties to think twice and explore alternative accommodations. These individuals will exploit any opportunity to extract extra money from unsuspecting guests. In conclusion, steer clear of Omkar Hotel, LLC's properties, including their Holiday Inn Express and others listed below. My main issue was there was someone literally running in the room above us at 2am for over an hour. We couldn’t sleep due to the amount of noise. We tried dialing 0 on the room phone to complain to the front desk and it routed our call to a call center?? I will say the room we stayed in was freshly remodeled and very clean. While I didn’t experience too many issues, a lot of other people did during breakfast. The pancake machine was down which upset a lot of people. The beverages ran out well before the end of breakfast. I actually saw one guy get so upset he recorded all the issues he experienced during breakfast. So while their kitchen is being remodeled, this is something I’d caution other guests about. No shortage of eggs and sausage. But milk ran out, juice ran out, water ran out, LONG line at the toaster, and no pancake machine.

Comfortable beds(which is a dble edged sword-great to sleep on, but terrible when looking for a cheaper hotel and worriedabout the bed becauseyou have a bad back) nice "suites" with a couch, refrigerator, and microwave. Convenient to WCU, however they hike up their prices, by hundreds of dollars, on any weekends that WCU has any major activity. We have spenr thousands at this property, as my son just graduated after almost 6 years, and they give a minor discounts, but the rooms are almost dble what others in town are. Also, if you order on ******* you don't have the option to sign in early..

Room was very nice and comfortable recently remodeled and done very well not just slap some new paint and carpet. Everything in the room looked new. Breakfast was good though seating was limited due to construction and remodeling of the Breakfast area. The construction was the only reason I removed a star. You should know what your walking into when you book a room, even if it is to make the place better.
