Wonderfully relaxing hotel. The bed was very comfortable and having a balcony to sit on was a big plus. The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Dirty. Outdated rooms. Horrible service at reception. Dirty room with an awful moldy smell. Shower head and bathroom vanity could use some deep cleaning. Never had room cleaning during our stay. The breakfast was below average, however, the old lady in the breakfast area was very helpful and polite (the only person out of all the staff we interacted with) The location was good, nearby little shops and restaurants. Overall, it was a very unpleasant 4 day stay. Im not sure if this review will help improve the service at this property. However, at least it could help others get mentally prepared with what they will encounter.

We checked in a few minutes past 5. Our room was not ready. Two ladies were cleaning it. Waited 20 minutes to get in room.

Wonderful place to stay especially if you have a room facing the river. Very nice staff and very clean. Good breakfast too

The hotel was very nice, included breakfast was delicious, and the river was beautiful. However, the location is very misleading and there is none of the typical literature left in hotel rooms telling you of local attractions and restaurants. Make sure if you stay there, you look past tiny Dillsboro to the next town (which is literally right across the bridge) for a very charming downtown area and a lot more options for restaurants and shops.

We love the hotel and the River view.
The swimming pool is Wonderful, and we love our Family time swimming . The view of the Tuckaseegee River. This was our 22nd annual visit coming to stay aft eta riding the Polar Express.

This is a great place to relax with friends with ample seating on the deck right above the rushing river. We could have stayed closer to the conference on campus, but the river and the rural location made the extra 8 minute drive worth it. You are still close to restaurants, shops, and the wonderful City Lights Bookstore. The river soothes you to sleep so I recommend a room with a balcony view.

Hotel was clean snd safe but the WiFi in my end of the hall ‘suite’ was horrible. Staff was aware that coverage was limited in these rooms. This made working very difficult without my cell phone hot spot (which consumed a lot of data).
