We needed a place to stay close to a campus event. This was so convenient, with ample parking and a quiet location. No town or partying noises. The rooms are spacious, with a bar/desk area, a living area and a bedroom, separated by a partial wall. We had a family member in the next room and it was easy for us to visit with each other in our room. Very nice. And we could walk to campus and the arboretum trail just behind the hotel. I would stay here again.

The front desk was not able to process my credit card and had our reservation a bit mixed up. Eventually the person called an off-site manager who was able to override the system and they then checked us in and were very apologetic. Be careful with choosing a cottage. Two of them faced a fairly busy street. The one they reserved for us faced that street, but we luckily were able to switch ours, but only to one that was more expensive. The cottage was comfortable as well as quiet.

The room is small but more economical and comfortable, and there is a microwave and refrigerator and coffee machine in the room! The front desk service is very nice. Go out and walk not too late, the walking distance is five or six snack streets, there are countless Asian restaurants, and there are dessert shops similar to fresh taro fairy. Opposite the hotel is a small convenience store with a complete set of organs open to two or three o'clock, and many things can be purchased there. There is also a Chinese supermarket about 15 minutes walk. Ten minutes walk into the ucd campus, then you can see the uc davis brand, there are many graduates who have taken pictures recently. Restaurants are really many, cuisines are all walking 5-30 minutes away. My room is opposite a very famous California chain brunch shop. I live on the first floor, the room is on the outside, just on the roadside, the room is soundproof.

The room is clean, the facilities are new, the front desk is friendly, and you can eat freshly made omelets for breakfast. You don't need to show your room card for breakfast. Although it ends at 9 o'clock, it is actually almost 10 o'clock. It is extended to 10 o'clock on weekends, which is very user-friendly. 24-hour coffee, a large TV, a welcome message with the guest's name, and good details. The bedding and towels look very clean, and the paper rolls are also sufficient. The hotel is very quiet inside and outside, and there is no noise in the morning.
The disadvantages are that the room cleaning is very uncertain. The front desk said that the room cleaning will be cleaned only if requested. When I stayed there, I didn't request cleaning one day, and I didn't clean it one day. Second, the air conditioner is still a bit loud. I found that this is a problem in most hotels. When it starts, it sounds like the sound of an airplane taking off.

Gotcha! In an age where customer service and hospitality seems to be in rather short supply, nothing could be further from the truth when it comes to the front desk staff at the HIE&S in Vacaville. From the moment we walked in until we checked out, Gina, Caleb, & Wynette (sorry if I butchered the spelling) were outstandingly friendly, engaging, and accommodating. These folks could be contracted out to teach/coach at other hospitality businesses and they're a credit to the hotel and the brand. The room, breakfast, etc. were pretty much what you would expect from the chain but they do have a very nice patio area, just outside the indoor pool area, with fire tables to enjoy the evening happy hour refreshments and snacks. The place wasn't too busy when we were there, or people took their drinks and snacks to their rooms, so we felt like we had our own private space to enjoy the late afternoon/early evening. We had no particular plans to get anywhere (nowhere to go and all day to get there) and added an extra night to our stay in large part due to the friendliness of the staff. Have I said they were awesome?

We were on the way traveling to Reno, Nevada from San Mateo and stay at Fairfield’s Vacaville for one night to take rest so that the whole car ride would be too long and exhausted. We checked in at around 8pm and reception staff was efficient and helpful. The room was very clean and up-to-dated renovated. We did not swim at the heated indoor swimming pool. Breakfast was at normal standard, coffee was good. I would stay there again!

GGuest UserThe door to our guest room did not bolt properly. This security issue led to a more disturbing incident during the night. Someone attempted to enter our room. Fortunately, the pull over security mechanism did work and the person was stopped. I reported the incident to the front desk and notes were taken by the attendant. Interestingly, the attendant never apologized or showed empathy toward my disturbed and unsettling overnight stay.

傅傅This hotel is really nice, with an American breakfast, free parking, and a new and spacious room. There is also a small swimming pool, but no time to enjoy. Convenient transportation, driving from Davis for more than 10 minutes, but the price is much cheaper than Davis, it is worth it! There is a Safeway supermarket across the road for easy shopping. I can still consider living here later.

The family the works/owns this motel understand customer service. I don't require special treatment when I travel but the front desk personnel should be knowledgeable about solving normal travel situations. Everyone was very helpful. My room was very clean and as a bonus had a hairdryer. This motel 6 also has a tub in the bathroom, Most Motel 6s have showers only. I got a room with a microwave and small fridge because I was staying longer than overnight. Plan to stay here when I am in the area. Pet friendly!

LLaura_Hend926The bed had filthy soiled sheets, with bright orange stains as well as other stains. We were unable to reach anyone in the office by the house phone and by going to the front office. We then started calling from our phones and finally someone answered only to be met with rudeness. Scolded for being in the room and not going to bed until now, implying we made the stains. They refused to give us any names, refused to meet in person, refused to come up and check out the room, would not provide any housekeeping, new sheets or change to a clean room. After hanging up, they called back and said they put clean sheets in the hallway for us to pick up. This process took over 2 hours. It was by then past 1 am. I could have slept in the car, tried to go to another hotel and pay for another room... but I was tired. I made the bed, grabbed my own blankets... putting one over the sheets and one on top of me and went to sleep. To this day the refuse any accountability and went so far as to say they were ”courteous” at all times. I travel quite often. This room was not cleaned. There was barely any toilet paper... about a quarter roll. After going through all that, I was not about to call them again. I used my own wipes. I have never experienced anything like this, from the horrible room conditions to the complete lack of consideration and accountability from the staff. This is a time of COVID. Cleaning should be a given. To not even receive an apology, to be scolded for being in the room and not turning down the bed immediately, to being accused of lying, to literally beg for clean sheets at a minimum.... I have no understanding as to how they validate treating customers like this, especially during these tense times with COVID issues.
