Boutique Hotel Casa del Mare - Vizura

This hotel is advertised as a Boutique Spa hotel, offering treatments, massages, specifically a Hamman. This in fact is misleading and overselling of their facilities. There are no treatment rooms, if you wish for a massage, they get someone to come to your room. A Hamman cannot be given in a bedroom. All that the hotel has in terms of spa facilities, is a tiny sauna, (a little bigger than a broom cupboard), and a long narrow plunge pool, that has no shallow end, which stretches from inside to the outside. The pool is full of the petals from the external overhanging bushes, and does not appear to be cleaned daily. I stayed at the hotel for 7 nights, with a group of 15 solos, I was in a suite, which I paid an additional £170, it did have spectacular views across Kotor Bay, on a bed and breakfast basis, with 3 evening meals included. The breakfasts were lovely and plentiful, however the evening meals were appalling. 1st was a gloopy mushroom risotto, 2nd was pasta with prawns, only there were no prawns, (The waiter let us have the drinks on the house for this evening), 3rd Sea Bass with vegetables, there were no vegetables, no potatoes but a handful of mushrooms. The staff were very friendly and polite, but we never got to see a manager. My suite was very clean and spacious. Aside from the spectacular views, this hotel really does not have anything else going for it. If it rains, which it did a couple of days whilst there, you are stuck in your room, as there are no other indoor sitting areas, other than the dinning room.

7 gün boyunca kaldığımız daireden oldukça memnun kaldık. 1 yaşında bebeğimizle sorun yaşamadık. Tek sorun sinek oldu. Dairemiz oldukça temiz ve konforluydu. Muhteşem bir manzarası vardı. Dairelerin hepsi deniz manzaralı bu arada. Bay Juro oldukça yardımsever ve ilgiliydi. Bebek için ücretsiz ekstra yatak verdi. Mutfakta her türlü malzeme mevcuttu. Blander ihtiyacımız oldu onu bile temin etti. Altında güzel bir restoran vardı (taverna bura). Kahvaltı buradan ücretsiz yapılıyor. Akşam yemeği de yedik lezzetliydi. Önündeki iskeleden denize girebiliyor ve şezlonga ücret verilmiyor. Bunlar tercih sebebimizdi. Merkeze yürüyerek gidilebiliyor ama çok yakın sayılmaz. Taksi 6-7 euro tutuyor tek yön. Kesinlikle tavsiye edeceğimiz bir yer.

This hotel is really, really nice. You get more for your money here than you would in a regular hotel, In my room there was a kitchenette with a big fridge AND freezer, nice big bathroom, good wifi, comfy bed.. and a little terrace to hang out on. The hotel is in a residential neighborhood so the views are other buildings, but the bay is a minute walk away. And you can walk to Kotor in 20 minutes. The cafes and bars by the hotel are a much better value than in the center of Kotor, too. Maison W also had slippers and bathrobes in the closet. In general it felt way more luxurious than I expected. Nice women working in reception, free secure parking, easy to find - what more could you want?

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a beautiful hotel. Accommodation itself is one of the best I’ve had in Montenegro. But, huge but…staff is completely inexperienced, way too young and reactivity is at a bare minimum. First day we got there took them 1h to find out reservation, the kid in the reception had to permanently call the manager because he wasn’t “authorised” to do anything. Second day we had to leave the car outside, garage fits a dozen cars only (props to the garage keeper, super cool guy). Third day we do the checkout and they charge one extra night for the garage parking. A ton of emails ZERO feedback, no reply. Still to this day they ignore my email…for 12 eur. I wonder if it’s a bigger mistake what would happen. Overall: 1) accommodation is good 2) breakfast is good 3) private beach and beach bar good 4) clean and neat 5) staff very inexperienced 6) not good with math and not willing to correct their mistakes or even react to them So overall not the best experience, I’m sure they will get better but for now it is not a hotel up to the rating they claim to have.

Remember to contact the boss via WhatsApp. The room is large and air-conditioned. You can cook and it is very comfortable. The boss is very friendly. There are not many parking spaces but they were empty when I went there. And the boss said that if the front is full, you can still park in the back. ! The location is also good, it's a short walk to the bay and not too far to the old town!
