Lovely room, toasty warm, clean, great space, nice big bed, mattress was a little hard for me but my husband didn’t mind it. Nice hot shower, a bit wobbly on the wall ! Lots of fresh clean towels. Host was fantastic and very helpful. Will definitely book again as a fantastic price. Plenty of off street parking. Taxi into looe cost about £10. Lovely area. Not bed and breakfast but a handy kitchenette in room with mini fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave. Tea, coffee and mini milk pot’s available. Great base for visiting surround area.

Pulled up in car, took photo and left!!! Didn’t even bother to check in. My son is disabled! There was no way he was staying in a run down, damp ridden (the outside walls have black patches) derelict hovel that charging over the top prices!!! Disgraceful

Stayed here with my boyfriend for 4 nights at the end of June last month, we got room number 11. Lovely little place with all the facilities we needed (except a fridge although this was no bother to us). No signs of damp in the room at all on the contrary to a few bad reviews I had read. Everything was lovely and clean. They even have free WiFi! The keys were left in our room shortly before our arrival so we could let ourselves in and head out once we were ready. Absolutely no problems whatsoever. Tea and coffee were filled and bins were emptied each day whilst we were out along with fresh towels free of charge:) Non-decaff coffee provided in the rooms would be the only thing that could of made this place better!! Perfect for anyone who drives wishing to stay near Looe as the town centre is a little far from the hotel. We were given a few contact numbers in case we had any issues but couldn't find a fault with the place. Would recommend a short stay 100%.

I booked a surprise overnight stay here. Absolutely smashing place. The room was spotless with two comfy chairs in and a lush bed - we slept like babies! There was a large bathroom and wardrobe space. The proprietors have obviously put thought into the room layout. It was the perfect place to base yourself and go off.

Just returned from our stay at the snooty fox the restaurant they advertising for breakfast and lovely evening meals is no longer open so if anyone has booked there I recommend you have a meal before returning because of location its quite drive to find some where for food . The room we had room 14 was nice in size there was a microwave, toaster and a small fridge there but the bathroom had a leaking pipe which I had to keep cleaning cause the floor was very slippery there was rubbish in the bin and some items of clothing from the previous guests not good the gardens were well kept but overall I think they realy need to up date the website we booked with booking .com have tried to tell them but I dont think they like disappointing reviews only the good ones would stay there again but only as a last resort if we couldn't find any where else near looe

Avoid. Booked a superior double bed but was given the wrong room. Spoke to the owner over the phone about this but the conversation quickly descended to the owner hurling abuse at me, calling me a 'freebie', questioning my 'line of work', and saying I'm rude and patronising. Irony. How does that have anything to do with the room? It's a classic overly defensive strategy (indeed logically fallacious one) to attempt to overthrow one's complaint. She made ad hominem and red herring arguments to redirect from the current problem. And her tone was derogatory. Because I brought up refund/compensation, and because I didn't accept with complete directness her initial objections to my complaint, she turned against me. This place takes zero accountability for any wrong. The business needs to listen to the negative feedback because my complaint is very like other comments. Regarding the room itself, it was clean and spacious, but the shower was either scolding hot or cold. And there is a £30 charge if you move any furniture.

I booked a 3 night stay for my boyfriend and I last week on ***********. Was very concerned afterwards when i read all of the negative reviews on here but turns out we had nothing to worry about! The outside of the hotel is in need of tlc and a car is a must for the rural location. However, we stayed in Room 8 which is part of a row of ground floor rooms. The interior is beautifully decorated, spotless, and comfortable. All that was missing was a fridge! We really enjoyed our stay and would return. The only weird thing is that we saw no staff the whole time. Communication was done via phone but during covid a contactless check-in is preferable. If you have a car then this is a nice place for a comfy stay for a couple.

Only stay if you fancy coming home with extra guests! Arriving from a day trip in Looe, which was lovely, the hotel was disappointing. Run down, damp on the outer walls, the place looked derelict and uncared for. However here we were and we were just booked for 1 night so maybe the room would be better. After 30 minutes of ringing the doorbell, telephoning the landline and mobile number we finally got a response and a woman told us via the intercom someone would let us in. The someone, a young man introduced himself as the face of the business, whilst pleasant didn’t apologise for our waiting and couldn’t explain why no one came to the door or phone. Enter into the room which have individual entrances directly from outside. The smell of damp was overwhelming in the dark blue room (perhaps painted that way as a disguise). The room and bathroom were big and the furniture looked ok. However it could have done with a good clean, and the blanket on the bed had some sticky liquid on it presumably from a previous guest, and I dumped the blanket into the shower. My husband slept in his clothes on top of the bed and whilst I started under the duvet the itching on my legs got so intense I too ended up on top with towels placed over the fitted sheet and the duvet discarded. I can’t say what the bites were from but the itching was terrible and lasted throughout the following day. Needless to say we wouldn’t advise anyone to stay here, such a shame as a good location outside of Looe and could be a great business with a new owner who cared.

Very bad hotel management - never communicates - never answer the official phone line and never reply to emails! During my stay there I kindly reported to them about mites in the sofas had bitten my wife and me though I did not state it in my written feed on *********** The Lady called my on my phone stating that she has never heard of such things and was upset about me reporting this to her husband. I did tell her that I did not report it on my written feedback so not to damage the hotel reputation rather she disinfects the sofas for future guests. She is Ignorant and in Total Denial! One point though - her husband is very welcoming and helpful!
