Great hotel but a bit remote so need a car to get about. Accommodation was ideal for us and restaurant food - breakfast and dinner - was good (which was a god send as there are limited restaurants around about). Staff were very friendly. Hotel was extremely busy, which was nice to see. The hotel has EV chargers which they are upgrading, so that is great too.

Great place to stay. Comfortable, warm, clean and spacious room Food was not the cheapest but was very filling. I recommend the sea bass and the popcorn chicken. Desserts were nothing you haven’t seen before but were very yummy. The restaurant could seem crowded at times however was a lovely place overall. The service was spectacular. Our server was a polite young man who was extremely helpful and although he seemed a tad nervous he was very polite and a memorable character (in a good way). All workers seemed to be working hard and enjoying their job. Overall great experience of the service, food and hotel. Thank you.

Bit of a strange one so far! Arrived to the hotel which is nice looking, clean and modern. I booked and then requested breakfast via the hotels own e-upgrade email. Got a confirmation email in return but it wasn’t mentioned when I booked in. As it was a long drive I wanted to just get my bearings when I arrived but the lady on the desk (very helpful, polite and approachable) had already started charging my credit card. It was then I had to mention the breakfast, if it’s not added at check in then it costs more on the day, not considerably more but it all adds up over a few days per person. Then to the room, excellent, clean, modern, comfortable and a nice place to be! Sorted. Came down after unpacking etc and went to the Spa to check out the packages available, the website has been hacked and links to some x-rated websites. The hotels own room TV still has the QR codes displayed which links to them. Use of the spa is steep! £35 for two hours which apparently includes a £5 discount for hotel residents. This lets you use the plunge pool and sauna/steam room. £70 a couple is a bit steep for 2 hours. Again, the confirmation email states it’s £30, not a big difference but money is hard to come by, then to the bar. Expecting hotel bar prices and find them, standard, only to notice a ‘discretionary service charge’ added. I had to queue for the pints and carry them back to my table, hardly onerous but I’m struggling to see which ‘service’ I received! No small, no forewarning just another dip into my pocket. I’m happy to tip, I just like to do it knowingly, I’m usually more generous. It all just added to a feeling of ‘squeeze!’. In my case I was likely going to spend the same amount of money anyway, I just like to do it on my own terms. Great hotel, great product, it does not meet the Hilton brand standard with the lack of attention to detail and leaves a little feeling of being ripped off when it doesn’t need to do that to gain the same result.
