What a wonderful, welcoming place to stay! Carrie and Mike went above and beyond to ensure our stay with them was perfect. In June, the charity I work for took a group to summit Snowdon to raise money. We were a big group with varying needs and Carrie and Mike could not have been more accommodating to support us. They were so lovely, so friendly and so kind to us. The rooms are STUNNING. Beautifully decorated and laid out, with the comfiest beds and fluffiest pillows and duvets. Could not recommend this hotel enough - absolutely fantastic!

We can not rate this place highly enough. We stayed in one of the suites and they are spacious yet cosy, spotless and has everything you need even a selection of flavoured teas , fruit and sweets. We had a cooked breakfast both mornings and they are very generous portion sizes with good quality products, definitely recommend it. The hosts Mike and Carrie are friendly and welcoming, genuinely making you feel at home. Highly recommend staying here, we will be returning

Recently spent a week at Plas Penaeldroch. Mike & Carrie were welcoming, kind and were able to give good advice about the local area. The suites were clean, tidy and comfortable. The breakfasts were amazing. Well worth a visit. 🙂

Superb stay, last minute trip and lucky to have found such a great place to stay made a much needed break even better. Great host, good food, comfy beds and the suite was completed to a high standard and very clean. Loved the river running nearby qnd the extra touches in rooms were great the children were delighted. The owners hadn't been there long and are renovating but this didn't disturb or affect our stay, would love to revist when it's done. Good luck amazing host and place.

We found this place a great spot from which we could visit the north Wales mountains and coastal areas . The old hunting lodge is under restoration by the meticulous Mike and Carrie who generously shared their knowledge of the building’s history and their future plans - Beautiful gardens and great views of Moel Siabod. Luxurious accommodation with attention to little details made for a memorable stay

Stayed here 1 night with my Husband, Mother and 2 Nephews in the suite on the first floor. Great sleeping arrangement, double bedroom, twin bedroom and double sofa bed, main bathroom and ensuite in the twin room. Lovely lounge area with French doors to a balcony ( both bedrooms also had french doors and balcony ) Everywhere was spotless, face, hand and bath towels beautifully presented on the beds and fruit and sweets were awaiting us on the coffee table. The full English breakfast was one of the best we have ever had ( continental included but just £6 extra for full fry up) Plenty of room to park and only a 4 mile drive to Betws y Coed. Carrie and Mike are lovely hosts and Lola the the dog is adorable! We cant recommend this lovey place enough and will definitely return.

We have stayed for 2 nights in the top suite with our 3 boys (smallest 3 years old) an we could not have chosen a better place to stay. It is easy to find, just left from the main road, although secluded as you have to cross a small bridge to get to the manor. When we arrived we were greeted with hot drinks and when we got up to the suite which consisted of 2 bedrooms, a sitting room and 2 bathrooms, there were fruits and sweets as well as a good selection of hot drinks. The rooms were modern, clean and great size, the view is to die for, in the background you can see a mountain and down front of you stream. I loved to sit outside and have a hot drink. The place was brilliant, they had toys for my little one, who really loved to stay there, he loved to play with their lovely doggy, who was ever so patient. The breakfast, which Mike cooked freshly in the morning was the best English breakfast I had! The next morning we had the cold breakfast, marmalade which was homemade, luckily we have bought 4 different types for only £10! They are super delicious! There is a lovely town in less then 10 minutes drive, which is Bewts-y-Coed. There are lovely restaurants and shops. 2 minutes away from Bewts-y-Coed, there is this beautiful waterfall, Swallow waterfall, which costs £2 per person, under 3s free, under 14 £1. Beautiful waterfall! In less then 30 mins drive is the Snowdon mountain which we used the Snowdon steam rail to climb, up to 2/3s. Mike and Carrie are great hosts and very knowledgable about the places to visit! Mike recommended us a great mountain to climb with the little one, which is close by and all kids loved the climb! I cannot wait to return there!

Our family have just had the most wonderful stay this weekend and we will definitely be back! Our delightful hosts made sure we were so well looked after, nothing was too much trouble. This, along with such stunning scenery and a beautiful building, we got a great feeling as soon as we arrived. Lola, the gorgeous collie, was also there to make sure we all felt very welcome.

Lovely place to stay. Only a 35 minute drive from Snowdon and very reasonably priced. Lovely scenic area (loved waking up to the sound of the river and birds in the morning) Breakfast was great and there was a good variety of options for dietary requirements (vegan/vegetarian). Friendly staff with a friendly, well behaved dog. Room was comfortable, warm and clean with a lovely touch of fruit, sweets etc. Very accommodating with us needing an extra night and arriving late to the property. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
