Dombås Hotel

hotel is nice. location is good. room is clean and comfortable.

From the outside and when entering the the hotel you are welcomed by something that look like a 4 star hotel. The lobby and front desk area is updated, modern and very welcoming and nice. However as soon as you walk towards the rooms you are sent back to the 1970,s . The rooms have cheap 1970,s furniture. But the bathroom is updated and nice and even has floorheating. The beds were really great, not the usual rock hard beds other hotels have. I slept like a baby ! Everything was very clean. Very good towels. The breakfast area was really nice and updated, but the breakfast itself was nothing out of the ordinary. But it did have everything a normal person could ask for. Its difficult to rate this hotel ! I would give this hotel a 4 star rating but the hallways and the rooms a 2 star rating. It is however one of the few hotels on the road to the Norwegian fjords and mountains, and as such it is still something I would choose again as the other hotels on this road are far worse than this hotel.

The hotel was cosy and seemed popular with locals, which is very reassuring! The staff were welcoming and helpful when we arrived and offered us to enjoy a buffet dinner that evening. The room was wonderful, so cosy, comfortable beds, extremely clean. The bathroom was roomy and cleaned to an excellent standard. The heating in the room doesn't shut off and it reached 25⁰ at one point, but rather than turn the heat off/down, we were advised to open the window. This worked fine (as you can imagine) but the traffic/delivery noises and the high winds in the night with an open window made for a less perfect sleep than could have been. I would stay here again gladly, it was a lovely hotel with helpful staff and the breakfast was excellent.

Hotel was a great value for price and although we didn’t take advantage of Buffet, they offered dinner for a good price. Breakfast was very good and a very wide variety of food.

Best Hotel in Dombas Lovely hotel - busy due to its location of Norway crossroads - Friendly helpful staff and excellent food with massive amount of choices.

Dombas is on the main junction of the E7 and E136. It has ski slopes. Needed an overnight stop off on the way to the coast. Friendly service. Nice open spaces, lift was being repaired while we were there. They do an evening buffet which is excellent value. Breakfast was good. Our room was clean, warm and comfortable, nice hot shower. Plentiful parking. Would definitely stay here again.
