It's real shame that I have to re write my original review but unfortunately I have discovered that a number of employees are not happy and aren't being treated fairly. The building is nice and the service whilst I was their was faultless but I can't condone any brewery that treats its staff the way I've heard from its catering to cleaning staff... It isn't on and marston's need to deal with this... I was under the impression that the temp mamangememt were going to sort this.. But no... As a result my own son has left and been gazumped basically despite the hours and dedication to the place and a few others will be leaving as soo as they've found alterative employment. I don't expect anyone to understand this unless they have a moral compass pointing in the right direction I'm dispointed because they did their best

Een heerlijk hotelletje, nog in de oude originele elementen. Gezellige, mooie kamers ,goedbed, met eigen badkamer. Super gegeten, alles lekker vers en voldoende. Het personeel was top. Zou meteen weer boeken als ik in die omgeving kom. Krijg je geen spijt van.

Had a three night stay to revisit Oxford and surrounding area. Our third visit to this hotel. Food is excellent and the Chef went out of his way to make sure we had exactly what we wanted ! If you are on the tall side, don’t forget to DUCK ! Very old building with low beams.

Absolutely beautiful hotel old world charm open beams and log fires. Helpful staff, excellent comfortable bed with good quality bed linen. Lovely deep bath to relax in.

Lively pub and restaurant and friendly staff. We had a really delicious early supper at 5.00pm- they are not normally open for food on Sunday evenings but they made a special arrangements as we were 10 in our group and going on to a jazz concert afterwards . The food is good, portions are generous ( loved the roast ) and very reasonable. Can thoroughly recommend it .
