Das Moods liegt direkt am Ortseingang von Dor**und, wenn man sich der Stadt von Osten nähert. Das Hotel wirkt überall noch neu und modern. Das trifft sowohl auf den Eingangsbereich als auch auf die Zimmer zu. Diese sind nicht groß aber ausreichend dimensioniert. Fenster kann man ankippen. Sobald es geschlossen ist, wird der gesamte Lärm vom Wrstfalendamm weggedämmt, was eine ruhige Nacht garantiert. Erwischt man keinen der begehrten kostenlosen Parkplätze vorm Haus, gibt es eine geräumige Tiefgarage für 10 €/Nacht.

Ich war aus beruflichen Gründen im Hotel Moods. Das Hotel ist ziemlich neu, reichlich kostenlose Hotel-Parkplätze vorhanden, die Zimmer waren zwar klein aber gepflegt, das Frühstück für mich perfekt, gute Müsli-Auswahl, frisch gemahlener Bohnenkaffee etc.), freundliches Personal. Für die Hotel-Kategorie und die Preisklasse absolut top, ich war zufrieden, empfehlenswert.

Das Zimmer war für 180€ bestätigt. Eine Woche später am 21.2. wurde die Buchung ohne Angabe von Gründen storniert. Dasselbe Zimmer wurde mir dann für 270€ vermietet. Hat der Hotelmanager zu spät gemerkt, dass der BVB an dem Abend ein CL-Heimspiel bestreitet? Ich war kein Einzelfall. Ein Entgegenkommen für den finanziellen Schaden in Form eines Frühstücks wurde rigoros abgelehnt. Geldgierige Halsabschneider.

We stayed 2 nights as part of a package to see Borussia Dor**und play. The hotel is well outside the city centre however it is conveniently located across the road from a light railway station that had a regular service to the city centre, taking approximately 15 minutes. Staff where friendly and helpful at check in and helped us to move room when we were booked into a double instead of a twin room. Unfortunately the air conditioning problem mentioned in a previous review still persists and we got hot air when we put it on, no matter setting we used. We reverted to the old fashioned method of cooling the room and opened the window. Unfortunately the breakfast in the hotel was very poor, no cereal suitable for children or bread for tasting. Although staff were generally helpful and friendly with such a poor breakfast offering we wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
