Ich fühle mich im L’arrive tatsächlich wie zuhause. Egal, ob ich beruflich oder privat in Dortmund oder dem Ruhrgebiet unterwegs bin. Ein wunderbares Team tut immer alles dafür, dass man seinen Aufenthalt komplett genießen kann. Dies beginnt für mich immer schon ganz besonders beim Check-in. Für mich ganz sicher eines der besten Hotels in Deutschland. Aufgrund der persönlichen Note - dank der vielen netten Menschen und den kurzen Wegen - vielleicht sogar vor den ganz großen Namen im Norden oder Süden.

Overall, the stay was good, but we had a few things to complain about. The room was missing hotel slippers and there was accidentally 2x shampoo in the shower instead of shampoo and soap. I had to ask reception twice to help. The room itself didn't have a fridge, but it was still very nice. It even had a terrace with a view of the forest. Unfortunately, there were half a dozen cigarette butts on the terrace floor. It was also obvious that the furnishings were getting old. The breakfast was really very extensive. However, the scrambled eggs, sausages and small meatballs were lukewarm at best. Unfortunately, the coffee was the same temperature. The excellent service and the freshly prepared fried eggs were positive. I would give the hotel 3 stars and it is definitely too expensive for that.

A voucher for an arrangement was purchased at the hotel (1x overnight stay, massage, dinner, breakfast; price €308). When the voucher was redeemed on site, an additional payment of €700 was required, so the stay was canceled. We used this hotel as a stopover travelling from the Eurotunnel at Calais and onwards to Bavaria. This was our first time here although we have been making this journey over the last 25 years. Our usual stopover just outside Dortmund was unavailabe due to the Main road being closed for the weekend. So, we found L' Arrivee on TA and decided to book a room. And we were glad we did. This is a fine hotel with quiet comfortable bedrooms. Also we had a lovely dinner in the restaurant here and a good breakfast before we departed the next morning. Also I am a car nut and like to take care of my car. And L'Arrivee has a lot of safe, secure parking. So I think we might have just have discovered our new regular stopover on our way from the Eurotunnel terminal and onwards into Deutschland.

We had a business meeting with 50 people over 3 days. I was lucky and received an Upgrade to a Junior Suite. This had a great toilet, comfortable bed and nice views. Also the conference facilities were ok. The buffet style breakfast and lunch were also better than average. Would come back here

Nice hotel in a nice location on the outskirts of Schwerte. The reception is well laid out, staff are attentive and rooms are clean and functional. My only grip is that, there is no blinds in the bathroom so when the sun comes up, it wakes you up irrespective of whether the curtains are closed or not. There is a great pub a hundred metre down the road, and has some fantastic meals available.
