La Villa des Fées

On vacation with my cousins, we had the opportunity to discover the Villa des Fées, a very pleasant establishment with beautiful rooms and a magnificent view! Unfortunately, our experience was not up to par with the place, let alone what we had hoped for. First, we ask the waiter for a bottle of wine. The latter was unable to tell us the white wines that the menu offered, naturally, we asked him if it was possible to have a bottle of Monbazillac or Chardonnay. The waiter then told us no. We therefore turn to a bottle of dry white wine at 30,000 Fr.CFA. he tells us that this bottle is available, from there, the bottle is presented to us then we taste it but at no time was its price of 60,000 frcfa announced to us. I would like to point out that the menu included 3 white wines: dry, sweet and Sancerre, and that we had requested a dry white wine. Now comes the most magical moment of our experience at the Villa des Fées: the Addition! We observe the bill which, initially, had not been presented to us, but which we requested, of course! The bottle of wine cost 60,000 CFA francs. We therefore asked to see the manager, because there was no way we would pay 60,000 CFA francs, even though the price of the bottle we had requested was 30,000 CFA francs on the menu. It was a forced sell. The manager informs us that he can deduct 6000 francs from the bill, no more or less. We explain to him that he must cut the pear in two because the error is common but especially on the side of the server who is in L OBLIGATION to know your PRODUCTS. Allow me, but when we sell a bottle of 60,000 which is equivalent to 100 euros, the least we can do is for the sommelier or the waiter to clearly announce the INFORMATION of the bottle, which was not the case!. Faced with our dissatisfaction, the manager used a very paternalistic method which we did not appreciate at all because we are customers and not "children" as he wanted to make us understand. I therefore invite you to find out carefully when you order from the villa des fées because the staff (according to this experience) are not trained. Which is a shame, because it is a very nice place with a good welcome despite the lack of professionalism.
