Mannin Hotel

We had a lovely 3 night stay at this hotel and would highly recommend. Perfect location super close to local amenities, walks by the water shops and restaurants. Secure easy parking underground. Rooms very clean and spacious and the comfiest bed we had the best night sleeps. Shower was good too! All the staff - especially Colin - were very friendly and helpful offering tips for places to go. A great stay

I love this hotel, it's modern, spotless and the quirky rooms with interior balconies are an interesting and nice touch. Staff can't do enough to make your stay enjoyable and the restaurant here is great.

This is a review for the 'Vietnamese Tea' on 26 July 26. We went with a party of 10 friends. We have stayed at the Manniin on several occasions for tribute weekends, which have all been excellent. On this occasion, we can honestly say that this was one of the worst, if not THE worst meal we have ever had - inedible. There was ONE cup of green tea, which was a t-bag in a cup of hot water, which was not offered again, and unlimited traditional tea and coffee, which I suggest is not exactly the go-to beverage for an Asian meal - green tea is the normal accompaniment. How much does a couple of boxes of green tea bags cost!?! All the dishes were served at once and all were cold or tepid and tasteless The first 'dish' consisted of a hot dog roll filled with dry tasteless pulled pork - awful. The 'spring rolls' were cold and soggy and quite frankly tasted 'off'. There were queenies in one dish that were tough and chewy and chicken in another that was dry and tasteless. I think there was beef (?) in another that was inedible. The desserts were not recognisable by the descriptions and were tasteless and frankly not very pleasant at all. We have eaten in numerous and varied oriental eateries around the world and can honestly say that this was the worst experience of Asian food, including mediocre take-aways, that we have ever had. The staff, when asked, didn't know what was in the dishes (one of our party has a prawn allergy and needed to know the ingredients). The staff didn't know and had to find out but the answers were not exactly reassuring. The service was off hand and when one of our party asked for water, one glass turned up. In any other establishment, a jug of water would be provided and as many glasses as needed. All in all, a complete waste of over £50 a couple. One of the worst eating experiences we've ever had, Asian or otherwise. .

Reminds me of Myrtle Beach 1. Sleep - mattress, pillows, curtains Not great - bed is not a double - it is 2 singles pushed together with a very clear center bump. Both singles were a bit saggy. Pillows were flat and hard. Curtains were blackout but allow light around edges. Hotel itself is very quiet but some road noise through window 2. Shower - water pressure, flood floor Half wall so water floods out onto floor but shower itself is good. Water does not get really hot 3. Clean Yes 4. Power outlets Good with outlets bedside and around desk area 5. Desk - workable - power - chair Small space but workable. No desk light so it's a bit dim at night. Chair not a desk chair - sits too low - this is minimal 6. Room - chair, layout Room is on the small side but minimally functional for one person 7. Wifi When it works is fine with speeds as high as 250 but fades often and frequently drops to speeds of 15 8. Fridge that isn’t warm or frozen and water bottles a plus Fridge is good - not very big but will hold a 6 pack 9. HVAC Works very well - keeps room very cold 10. Do not disturb sign Good - stayed away 11. Safety of area and especially inside hotel Very safe. In fairness, this is the Isle of Man - probably the safest country on earth. Where would bad guys go after a crime - it's an island and everyone knows everyone. Never been safer - every alley and dark corner flet safe. Also a very clean town. Overall This property is decent. It's right off the promenade so easy access to everything. The rooms is very functional although not particularly fancy. Overall it is reminiscent of an oceanfront hotel you'd find in Myrtle Beach

We had recommended this hotel to a visiting business client. We met him that evening in reception as he checked in. The room he was allocated was a complete mess, unmade beds etc from previous client. Very little in the way of an apology and no compensation. A new room was allocated but this time no toilet paper in the bathroom!

Lovely hotel with nice large rooms, friendly staff & great breakfast. Centrally located in Douglas near the prom.

Stayed four nights during the TT fortnight and wasn't disappointed, great location for St Ninians and the Grandstand, everyone was very friendly nothing was to much trouble, I would definitely recommend if staying in Douglas and I will definitely be back.

We stayed 3 weeks ago and this is a late review. The staff were helpful during booking and checking in. The rooms we booked were spacious and clean and had everything you could want. We slept well. We had inside rooms but would have preferred a room with a proper window. If you get a room on a high floor, you get better light from the roof. Breakfast, service was brisk and the food was ok, it filled a gap but was a little limited, we didn’t have dinner. We found the car park a challenge, we did however see some quite big cars getting into it, we didn’t risk it but we were able to park outside on the road, but it was a little restricted on times but it worked. We had a nice nostalgic trip to the Island, 3 generations came to see where my family lived guided by my mum who came on her honeymoon (and many times after) in 1961 to my great aunts guest house.
