What a cozy, unique, and magical place it is. Clean, comfortable, quiet, and easy to find. The staff is super friendly. We absolutely loved it and can’t wait to go back!

Lovely small pub/inn. Check in/out was effortless with electronic access. Ideal for us with a couple of small dogs. Wonderful cooked breakfast. Definitely recommend

We stayed at the Royal Oak for one night prior to catching the ferry. We cannot recommend enough. We arrived late and the kitchen staff kept the kitchen open in order to take our order for an evening meal and as we had an early morning ferry, a large takeaway breakfast bag was provided. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our every need, without having to ask. We would definitely recommend and will definitely stay there again.

Lovely little pub with rooms - idea for a cozier stay in Dover. Expect old world style and rooms - and you won’t be disappointed

We had to spend a night in Dover due to the Channel Tunnel strike, and luckily the search engine brought us to this lovely place. Warm a**osphere, very modern hotel, the room is small but has everything you need. There is parking right at the door, even with a charger for electric cars, and the area is very beautiful. Plus, we were able to stay the night with our dog. Absolutely recommended if you are not going to stay more than one or two nights.

The location is the Hotel's biggest selling point as it is so close to the Dover Castle and the White Cliffs. The room was ok for a "base" but would not recommend it for a long stay. The food served was excellent.

Lumpy mattress,no hot food Mon-Tuesdays, no TV in the room, no desk in the room to work at, breakfast served at 8-9, not good if you’re working.
