I live in a town so this was perfect for me. I arrived and was welcomed at reception by Chloe. She was amazing, happy, welcoming, chatty, down to Earth which was brilliant. The residents bar was lovely and quaint.Yes its an old style hotel but I love the old style seafront hotels, the decor in my room was abit too much(covered in parrots haha) but that was minor. The room itself was spacious for me,had everything it needed, was perfect for my stay. The bar they have in the basement, well what a night that was. Being served by Connor, and joining my new American friends who also stayed at the hotel,we had an absolute ball. Few too many but lovely cocktails and happy hour,I will say it was a hit aha. I don't have any faults at all with this hotel,it's cheap, cheerful and is perfect where it is overlooking the sea.No curfew coming in,free WiFi,very helpful when it came to asking for information. Couldn't of asked for a happier, more comforting hotel. I would recommend this hotel,a perfect old style seafront hotel,a view to dream about, everything within walking distance, amazing hospitality and care for the residents staying, and for what it costs,it most definately holds its value. Definately somewhere I would stay again xxx

Emily is an amazing manager approachable Helpful, kind and welcoming. Amelia was another member of staff who always had a big smile on her face that made you feel at home and at ease when you stayed at the hotel. Also Holly who went the extra length to help with anything that we needed and Made our stay pleasant. Unfortunately, I have forgotten some of the staff names but for all the male staff and female staff there you were all so kind and professional. Well done Emily as you have an amazing team. It's Home from Home for me. I will come back to stay for sure. Many thanks

Positives first: the location is amazing and the lady on reception (who also served the bar) was superb. But - oh my goodness my room was grim. Yes it was inexpensive but honestly the worst room I've ever stayed in. Couldn't even bring myself to shower in the morning. The 'bathroom' had a loo and tiny shower cubicle, and the sink was in the bedroom. The hotel smelt musty and the stair carpet was not clean. It looks like there is some work being done externally but I won't be back in a hurry... not sure where all the lovely rooms are that have been given top reviews below!

Last minute weekend away with friends. First impression was good. Very cheap accommodation. Nice staff, very helpful. Clean room and facilities. Hot water and clean bedding. Tea and coffee in the room. A few stairs outside and there is a lift. But would struggle with a large buggy or wheelchair. Limited parking outside and does attract a minimal charge. Very close to town and local amenities. Would definitely use again.

I spent 3 nights 12th to the 15th April. Was so pleased with my room with balcony on first floor. Helpful staff nothing to much trouble. Rooms only but plenty of places 2 mins away for breakfast and evening meals. I had stunning views to France on Saturday evening. I will be back soon for longer. Good luck to new owner. Doing a great job so far. Loved it !!!!

Great value, great location, great staff. Rooms are of a low standard but clean and comfy. There is currently no bar but plenty of local pubs and I was visiting the Leas Cliff Hall venue which is opposite anyway. Had a small issue with the room which a delightful Emily rectified pretty much straight away. I would definitely stay here again the next time I am catching a show.

Definitely needs a referb in the bedrooms but it was generally clean, stayed in a single room with shower, with a lovely sea view, i was luck with parking and managed to park directly outside which is £3.00 all day i believe and the was paid easily at reception, By far the best part was the young lady on reception (Chloe i think) after a 5 hour drive it was nice to be greeted by smiley happy young lady who was really helpful, said hello / goodbye to every guest makes a big difference well done
