Hampton Inn Dover

The reception people were friendly and more than helpful. In particular Ashley volunteered to place an expensive birthday cake we were taking to our son in VA Beach in their fridge (we were traveling with a RV fridge and didn't want to drain our battery during our stay). We were very impressed with everything and everyone.

We have never had a bad experience at a Hampton Inn. The one in Dover, Delaware is convenient to all the sights of the city. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were efficient. The breakfast buffet could have had gluten free bread available. We did not bring our dog on this trip, but this hotel is pet friendly. The outdoor pool looked nice, but it was not open for the season yet.

I had a great time and it was very peaceful, Ashley at the front desk was very knowledgeable and friendly. Made my experience feel right at home. Thank you and keep up the great work

I come to this location every time I travel to Dover. The staff there is amazing. I have come in for military funerals with my children and grandchildren. They made sure we have everything we needed. Kevin and Jen makes sure I have everything I need at every check in. Please keep up the good work and wonderful service. Thanks in advance Tonja Anderson-Dell

I had the opportunity to experience truly exceptional customer service during my stay, thanks to Kevin Maloney. Ashley at the front desk, all of housekeeping, and the entire culinary team were nothing short of stellar. Their kindness and attention to detail stood out even more in a time when genuine human connection can feel rare. The professionalism, courtesy, and warmth I encountered are something I’ll always remember. This was far more than just a pit stop—my guest and I were treated like royalty. We stay at this hotel multiple times a year… overall a great hotel, other than the front end mgr K.M. Rooms are always clean, the girls at the front desk, the breakfast lady, the cleaning staff are all wonderful… only issue is KM. He is condescending, rude, and just an overall pompous man.. we’ve watched him talk to not only us in this way, but other guests and staff as well. Not a welcoming person to have as your first point of contact for sure!

The hallway and staircase had a smell. I have been here for a few weeks for work and there’s been instances where children are running the hallways at night, loud music. My microwave had to be replaced after one use. The walls are extremely thin. There’s been two separate days where they were doing some type of wall hanging and it’s extremely loud. One day I didn’t get towels and when I asked the front desk, they didn’t have any clean towels to give. The location is okay because there’s stores around. I only recommend if staying one or two nights but not for a long term stay.

Paige was EXTREMELY helpful. I had booked the wrong city and there were no rooms available throughout Dover. Sje went above and beyond to work with me. I'm this day and age good customer service is hard to come by. She deserve recognition and a raise.
