Mainstay Suites Dover

Brought my kids here for a two day stay, they loved it!!!! Nice and clean, very spacious for kids. Felt like home.

This city was doing construction so the water turned brown in the hotel and in my sweet itself sinks showers toilet. Also there were dirty dishes in my room and the dishwasher was broken.

My stay was a mixed experience. While the staff were friendly and attentive, providing great guest service throughout, the overall quality of the property fell short of expectations. With some improvements to the facilities, this could be a much better stay.

It has been sometime since I last stayed at the main stay maybe since 2014. You use o be able to get to the hotel from the adjoining parking lot but not that is blocked off so if you are coming from the mall or Dover Downs you have to pass the hotel and make a u turn to get to it. Very annoying when you are sleepy from traveling. Or just a long day they should open that back up.

The hotel smelled like smoke as soon as you walked in other then that it was okay

Getting to my room i found the door open, which is a little unsettling. The desk chair had a 5 inch gash in the backrest and a small hole in the seat cushion. The couch had 1 cushion that was a completely different upholstery that didn't match the couch in the room. The living room tv remote had all of the ink rubbed off of the buttons making it difficult to use. The heater in the living room has a bad bearing on the blower that screams and squeals the entire time its running. The heater in the bedroom did not work. One of the 2 lamps in the bedroom did not work. The bedroom tv must need an update or better wifi signal because every command you gave it took forever to complete and i gave up trying. I did not bother to ask the front desk for a different room because having that many issues in one room tells me this property just doesnt care. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. If these are your only requirements than this hotel is for you.

Clean rooms. Stayed several times. Just low water pressure in the showers.

Hotel and room were very clean. Breakfast was all packaged, nothing fresh. No coffee cups at 6:30am. Carpet worn and stained throughout hallways and rooms. Room had worn/damaged furniture. Felt very much like a place that people live in for extended stays.

When MainStay Suites no longer had the exact room we reserved available, they went above and beyond to accommodate our party and we were more than satisfied!
