First room we were assigned to reeked of wet dog smell. Second room reeked of bleach. Third room was the charm. So beware this is a pet friendly hotel so if you have allergies to animals, probably not a good choice for you.
Staff was amazing, very pleasant, and helpful. We had to call maintenance to help with the TV 3 times. Each time, the young guy who helped was super kind and friendly.
The bed needs a blanket that actually fit a king size bed. The blanket that had under the bed spread was actually a box spring sham cover. Who the heck thought that was a good idea?!
Housekeeping was friendly each time we ran into them in the hallway.
One of the two elevators were broke so waiting for only one elevator took some extra time.
However, overall not a bad place to stay.

Our room had issues. I wrote these down and passed them to the front desk for correction for the next guest. I hope they do so although they did not indicate one way or the other to me: Bathroom: - sliding glass door on shower easily comes off of track (I had to put it back on before use) - exhaust fan does not work at all - pocket door to bathroom does not close all the way - it is misaligned - door lock on bathroom door is broken, missing parts and does not work - water pressure at sink drops to almost zero when commode is flushed and while tank is filling Room: - The display on the thermostat is blank so one cannot adjust the room temperature accordingly

We did not ask for a handicapped-accessible room, but were given one. It was a big room and had motorized blinds so someone in a wheelchair could reach the controls. The bad part about this was that the top of the blinds constantly flashed red-green-red-green, right over the head of the bed. This is not conducive to sleep.

The food area and coffee was good and people were nice. Quality of building was very poor. Not the employees fault. They were getting ready for an inspection the next day and were working on certain rooms. When I asked “you know which rooms they will inspect?” I was told “yes”.
Inspections should be random.

We are a big fan of Home2 Suites (as long as it s a newer one, or one recently renovated). This is mostly because of the space, cleanliness and locations. My wife is terminally ill, and we have to make medicine for her daily, and need a pretty large are, that is either clean, or can be made clean with ease. We latched on to this hotel brand a few years ago, and pretty much stay in them whenever we travel, if there is one within 5-10 miles of our nightly destination. This was no exception, pleasant staff, clean rooms, reasonable rates
