The saff were pretty friendly when we ordered food and drinks. The chicken parmigiana was fine with a decent serving of chips and salad on the side. The burger was much better than I thought, they didn't skimp on the patty and the meat was not too fatty.

My wife and I stayed two nights and used Stellas as a sort of base for a couple of short road trips. The accommodation was perfect for our needs as the room was clean and quiet. The spot was located in the main street and it was great that we could just cross the road and go for a swim. The beach itself was clean and for a hot Sunday was not too busy.

My husband and I stayed at this older hotel for 1 night and were told it was the best room. Goodness. While the room does have a balcony overlooking the water, there is the busy Nepean Highway in-between. The concrete balcony is barely hanging in there and the pot plants have seen better days. The room is certainly clean enough; the mattress very comfortable but the décor very dated and I felt I was in a family home rather than a $220/night ‘best room’. The hot water was only just hot in the shower (no cold water needed) and handles were falling off the bathroom cabinet. The shower amenities were from the local supermarket – think Palmolive, Garnier and Home Brand. Staff were pleasant but the price does not reflect the standard. Note the meal at the hotel is of a similar standard to the room – you are better to wander down the road where there are plenty of other eateries.

Lunch started with a crisp beer which was nice and cold, very much appreciated on a warm day. I enjoyed my meal (fish with salad) and the rest of the group seem to enjoy their meals. The meals were better than average value with portions being on the bigger side.

For such an iconic pub and great location, can’t believe how bad the bistro is. Lovely old building with lots of small spaces that would work well for groups. Lots of potential for a great venue in a great location but bistro meals an absolute waste of money. Food dreadful!

Visited for drinks and dinner. Very limited in types and brands of drinks for a hotel. Food was very nice, paying for your meal at the table not in our opion the right way to do it. Table very sticky, service to standard. Visit again, don't think so.

Initially walked in and ended at the bar. The bartender was nice and polite, then directed us to the main bistro eating area. We had a wonderful meal, with a good serving of the roast of the day plus soup. My friend complimented on his meal. We then went back to the bar and the bartender recognised us and went out of his way to say hello. Which was a nice touch.

Ordered two eye fillet steaks at $44 each and asked for them to be cooked medium rare. The steaks were served overcooked and could not cut them with a serrated knife. Also very big steaks which looked nothing like an eye fillet. Returned both meals and were then served one other steak cooked to rare standard, but still tough. The other steak was a piece of beef, maybe scotch fillet? which was full of fat and sinew. It was returned to the kitchen and no comment came from the staff or kitchen

For the price the accommodation it was outstanding value. Located next to the cafes and literally across the street to the beach. The rooms were comfortable and big enough for the two of us. We also got lucky with some Spring sunshine!
