Lovely hotel with a friendly service and plenty of amenities. The leisure club was lovely, especially after a day of hiking.

Having stayed here a few times before due to its location and reasonable price, I was left disappointed this time. I had booked this hotel because for some reason every hotel in Glasgow that weekend was unusually expensive. Hotels I would have expected to pay ＞£100 were £150/180. The jury’s was £111. A warm welcome from reception staff and the main lobby is modern and clean. The room we were allocated (618) was a bit dated. It was spacious because it was an accessible room, not at our request so maybe why it was cheaper than others. The above two points didn’t really bother us because it was just somewhere to sleep as we were attending a gig. Unfortunately we did not sleep very well. The windows didn’t do enough to soundproof the outside street noise, the walls were paper thin and you could hear the neighbours talking, plugging and unplugging electrical items- all minor quiet stuff which you shouldn’t really be able to here. Our room had a buzzing noise coming from the vent in the room which kept us awake til 7.30am… and then the neighbours started getting ready to check out. We never complained during the night because we were so tired after being out all night and the noise was intermittent so just when you thought you were back to sleep, it started again. The room was clean but as I said dated, and for this reason I don’t think I’d chose to stay here again.

First class hotel with excellent staff and rooms,I stay here every week while working up Scotland. The rooms are modern and spotless with everything you need. All of the staff who I have got to know over the last year are excellent at there jobs and can’t do enough for you.breakfast is very good with plenty of choices, evening meals are good also. I would definitely stop here with my family rather than just for work

The room was large and clean and the front desk reception was pleasant and helpful. The hotel lounge and dining areas were large and bright. The decor was drab and dated with extensive use of ugly carpet and wallpaper everywhere. The bizarre shower mixing valve arrangement resulted in the bath tub filling up very fast when taking a shower. The pivoting glass shower door/deflector arrangement made it difficult to impossible to keep shower spray from ending up on the bathroom floor. The bathroom door had no proper handle/latch/lock for privacy and was only held closed with a magnet. Finding parking was a horror story. All regular spots were taken and what was left was utter chaos. Everyone else had just improvised and parked wherever they could find a spot along the drive, on the grass etc... Wi-Fi did not work throughout the ENTIRE stay. The reception staff indicated that the router was likely ”overloaded”. They reset the router but it didn't help. There were no physical LAN drops in the room either. We paid 20 pounds for a breakfast that was at first non-existent (buffet style - almost empty to empty warmers). When we entered the dining area there were few people but many...most tables covered with dirty dishes, cutlery etc...After an extended wait food trickled out. In the mean time we had to search for the coffee (INSTANT coffee made en-masse). The actual food offerings were ok once they appeared but many items were reheated pre-packaged items and there were almost no heathy (fruit, plain yogurt etc...) options.

I would imagine that OAP coach parties love this hotel, but other guests may not have the same feelings. he hotel is in a superb location at the head of Loch Long, with rooms at the front having views of the ”Arrochar Alps”. It's also conveniently placed for Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. That's probably the best things about the hotel. The rest is mostly mundane or worse. The hotel is a bit of a 1980's time warp in places, our room was cramped with an oversized desk and chair taking up most of the available space. Dinner is a standard menu - 3 choices for each course, some good and some not so good. Lounge bar looks like it's had a recent facelift, but the bar manager did not seem at all concerned that the lager coming out of the pump warm. Breakfast was a distinctly average buffet. Staff attitude varied from very good to uninvolved. Overall i think it's trading on its location.

We booked a weekend break with a view to staying an extra night however, we couldn’t escape quick enough. I tried to call the spa to book a spa day for my hubby and I and each time the phone range and cut off! So no spa could be booked. Let down number one! Upon arrival I checked in and was told the bill was £540?? £440 for the room and £50 per room per night “incidentals” on my card. Not a problem but why not say this instead of just expecting us to know. Let down number two! I mentioned about the spa, there was no apology and was asked if I wanted to book in there, nope that ship unfortunately had sailed. The room was spacious and comfortable enough with everything you needed, I would have expected a coffee pod machine for the price of the stay but instead a kettle and instant coffee it was, this need addressing, I understand they’re undergoing refurbishment which is fine, but let people know and price rooms accordingly. As the room looked tired with peeling wallpaper etc. The breakfast was a huge let down…. (We stayed 6 years previously and the breakfast was cooked to order!) it was on a par with a toby carvery breakfast! The station was tucked into a corner of the room so that if one person was helping themselves, nobody else could get in, leading to it being very awkward to navigate! The coffee was terrible. Not what you expect from a 5 start hotel! That was faux pas three at this point. After breakfast, We decided to check out to spa area. We walked down in our slippers and robes and was met by a young brunette girl and very rude blonde woman, who were deep in conversation about another member of staff. They didn’t stop their conversation for us but did for another woman arrived after us. After she had finished dealing with this lady she didn’t even look at us and just grunted sign in there. There was no direction as to where anything was. No warm smile or any sort of customer service! After making use of the pool and sauna we decided we’d like to sit in the jacuzzi outside…… we were just about to walk in and a young brunette girl said no you can’t go in there!!! I said I’m sorry? She said you aren’t allowed in there at 10.30am as they hold the area to “paying spa guests only” and if we wanted to go in we could after 6pm, This is where I decided to put her straight regarding the failed phone calls to book said spa and that they’d missed out on £324 for the two of us because they couldn’t be bothered to answer nor could they show us the time of day when we arrived at the reception! The attitude of both these women was unacceptable and disgusting!!! Definitely not the attitude to have when dealing with “paying” hotel guests. We weren’t staying a third night and upon check out I noticed 10% gratuities had been added to our bill! I’m not sure why, nobody served us at a table, we had to frequent the bar and carry them ourselves to our table! I couldn’t order room service from the bar this was an issue for some reason! Thank you to the staff, as a solo traveller I was quite nervous but I felt so safe. Check in was smooth and friendly. The hotel is clean, stylish and smart. You need your room key to use the lifts so I felt so safe going to my room. I stayed in a double room and it was so spacious! Everything was tidy and well placed. Even though there was a fun fair on the next street it didn’t really bother me when I shut the window. It was my first time staying in an apart-hotel and I would definitely recommend! I didn’t know that having ice in the freezer and cutlery would make me so happy haha. I could chill my water and have a lovely meal in my room without having to fork out for a more expensive takeaway. I used the Tesco express down the street to get myself fresh food. The bathroom had a lovely heated towel Rail too so I had the warmest, fluffiest towel! Down in the lobby they have a Brita water filter, board games, extra kitchen equipment and food and drink. Will certainly return if I ever visit Glasgow again!

I chose this hotel because it was not so far from the airport. In principle, it is not bad, I can recommend it.

My wife and I planned a night out in Glasgow for our friends 40th birthday and booked this hotel for the night. I must say this hotel wasn't what I was expecting the front of house staff were really friendly and professional however that manager needs to learn she is in her position because of the customers and she should learn to speak to the customer in a more professional manner. In the space of 10 minutes while we were checking in we both saw her being disrespectful to 4 different customers. THE BAR and RESTAURANT The choice of drinks were ok however there was no draft beer available. They also had cocktails in the fridge however the barman refused to sell any to us due to the management not allowing him to do so. We paid for morning breakfast and they had a choice of continental or hot breakfast. The breakfast was the best part of the stay. THE ROOM The room was very simple. It had a small TV with standard free channels. The issue I had with the room was the staff only put 1 towel in the bathroom. If there are 2 people staying it should be policy that you get 2 towels. I cannot recommend this hotel until these issues are fixed and I will not be returning.
