Homewood Suites by Hilton du Bois

Suites are nice. Full size refrigerator is a nice convenience. Check in was a little slow as their reception desk wasn't staffed on arrival. After waiting 10 minutes, i called thir phone but before i coud navigate the voice mail menu the hostess arrived at the desk Bed was comfortable and room was clean. The pool was drained for a remodel according to the sign on the door. Breakfast was okay. Saturday morning featured pre-made omelets that were a little watery. They don't have the waffle makers like almost every other motel I've stayed. Motel was comfortable, clean and quiet.

We stayed here for three nights for a softball tournament and had a good overall stay. The hotel lobby and breakfast area is very large and overall the hotel is clean. The rooms were good you can hear people above you walking on the floors and ours walked til midnight and was up at 5:00 so not a lot of peace and quiet. They have a workout room where the TV doesn’t work and a pool. We were there 3 nights and never got cleaning service or fresh towels. We had to go to the front desk to replenish towels and toilet paper and to get sheets and pillows for the pull out sofa. This is the newest most expensive hotel in town and it’s fine but not a lot better than the other ones.

Overall good. Breakfast was not good.

Such a very nice place in a quiet area near shopping. This is my go-to place when in DuBois.

This facility has so much potential. The suites are wonderful. First impression is a very nice property. Until you start looking around. Water machine in workout room - no cups. Employee did not know if it actually worked. Pool is closed. Employees have no idea when it will re open nor do they know what is wrong with it. Employees, for the most part were super helpful and very gracious. Several boxes for sanitizer wipes were all around the facility. None had any wipes. We were there 4 day and they were not refilled. Fairly nice food area - limited but adequate "supper" items each evening. Breakfasts were good. Coffee cups were super thin so carrying the cup was a juggling act to keep from being burned. No sleeves for them. For the most part it was clean. Elevator had issues. Scary. Employees said it has been like this for months. While suites are very nice - separate bedroom and bath, kitchenette, the walls are quite thin. Neighbors were just having normal conversation and we would hear every word. It was just a weird vibe because from the outside it looks so very nice. Would absolutely give it a much better rating on just employees and service . Such a shame.

Friendly staff

On our way to the Berlin, OH area this was our 2nd stop and a very pleasant stop it was. Just enough off the highway as to not be bothered by the traffic. The place was clean, pleasant, quiet and very friendly. It also was close to a few places to eat, (We really enjoyed Maries Fresh Pasta) which is also nice after a long days drive. The next wrong it was on to Berlin, and very easy to get back on the highway without any issues … a real plus when traveling.

Property is in a terrible state of dis-repair. We have stayed here multiple times and have all been fantastic. Hilton corporate needs to come in and do a complete overhaul. Baseboards are missing, elevators do not work - you have to call the front desk on a walkie to have the elevator sent up to get you. The toilet areas are not ADA-compliant. Blood was smeared on the walls, dirty towels were left in the shower and hair was in the shower stall. Hilton-Corporate, feel free to contact me.
