Cottage Logis Hôtel - Restaurant

Went here in summer, and, to my utmost surprise, learned that this hotel does not have air-conditioned rooms. It was well over 30 C on that day, and even hotter the days before. The hallway to the rooms, and the rooms itself, felt like a sauna. The only relief one gets is a table-top ventilator. The rooms are clearly made as small as technically possible. Luckily I was by myself, because I cannot imagine how two people with two suitcases can possibly walk around the bed without walking over their suitcases or the bed! The bathroom felt like an airplane-size bathroom plus a shower. The shower door, basically a white MDF board, did not seal off the shower either, so water easily splashes over the rim of the shower basin. It was also arranged diagonally (making the shower space even smaller). Even the sink faucet was mounted on the side, because there was simply no space behind the vessel. Overall, the rooms were a total disappointment, especially for a summer stop-over, due to the lack of air conditioning. Thankfully the breakfast was quite decent. There were a few different cheeses to choose from, as well as cold cuts. Fresh orange juice is available (which you press yourself), baguette, bread, jams, honey, boiled eggs, yogurt etc. Tea selection was also decent. There was however no salad whatsoever, nothing green. What was very awkward was the nuts they offered... because they were shelled. Yes, you have to crack your own nuts if you want some (walnuts or hazelnuts). I don't understand how someone can come up with the idea that hotel guests would actually care to spend 20 minutes extra to get a sufficient amount of nuts for a müsli? Also, they don't seem to change these nuts too often (surprise surprise), because of the 8 nuts I cracked, 3 were bad. I can accept all these shortcomings if the price was right... but at over 85 Euros per night plus 16 for the breakfast, this is simply bad value for the money.
