The hotel is located in a wonderfully green and quiet area with views of the Qingcheng mountain range. This hotel is a fabulous place to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The room was spacious and well equipped, including a bathtub and seating area by the windows to enjoy the open views. Although there were a few tiny specs of stains (food or drinks?) on some of the room walls, and the quality carpets have had their usage, these minor things do not retract from the overall experience and we will indeed be returning for more escapes. Really appreciated the late check out and an ample morning breakfast

I was so happy to get a free room upgrade! I tried both the Chinese and Western restaurants, and all the food was delicious. The breakfast spread was also excellent, very satisfying. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back next time!

The service was excellent. The staff were very honest; seeing it was just my child and I, they recommended a two-person meal portion that was more suitable for us, rather than trying to upsell us. When my child had a nosebleed, they promptly brought a cold towel to help clean it up. The forest hot springs have a first-rate environment. I'll definitely come again next time.

They have a dedicated butler service, and booking through Trip.com really made them extra accommodating and responsive to all our requests. This trip, I brought my child and elders, and we ate all our meals at the hotel. Ordering à la carte would have been quite expensive, but we bought a 198 RMB package deal for three adults and one child, and it was more than enough food. During the day, we went hiking, and after dinner, we strolled around the square in front of Qingcheng Mountain. There was a food festival going on, and even though we didn't eat there, it was really lively. After our walk, we returned to the hotel for a hot spring soak. Hot springs in the summer are actually quite nice; the water temperature was just right, and I didn't have to worry about my child catching a cold. A solid, large, monolithic, respectful hotel. It is not new, but still very good. Rooms are large, bathrooms are large and have a shower and bathtub. Breakfast is good. Staff are also very good. Even at the reception, staff can speak English, which is rare in Chengdu. "Hot springs" are nice. Location: Right at the foot of Mount Qingcheng, very close to a university (Chengdu Neusoft Institute), so there are plenty of local snacks nearby. Everything was average. The rooms were old, toilet was small cos your head can bang on the glass partition when going to sit down on the toilet bowl. Not so near Mount Qingchengshan front gate. Got to walk 700m from hotel (must request from the hotel for buggy) and then another 400m.

Had an awesome time the view of the mountains was great. The food at the restaurant was also awesome. I totally recommend the Saturday night buffet. The Hot Springs were amazing 10 out of 10 will definitely return.

I used to visit Qingcheng Mountain twice a year and always stayed at the Howard Johnson. It's been a while, so I came back to relive some old memories. They upgraded my room, and the hotel is still well-maintained, retaining a sense of its rich history. I fell while hiking and got a small cut, and the hotel staff quickly sent over some medical supplies. Overall, the hotel still has a good character.
