Fairfield Inn & Suites Dunn I-95

The bed was slightly uncomfortable and the room smelled of feet but other than that, everything was acceptable.

Was first put in a room by the elevator, went back to reception and asked to be moved as I don’t like being right next to it. They were accommodating and moved us. Room was fine for an overnight on our way home.

1) The first room they sent us to was an uncleaned room. But it was marked cleaned in their system. Not sure what happened there, but we went back down to the front desk to be assigned a different room. 2) Unfortunately, the first morning after we checked in I slipped and fell in the bathtub that was unbelievably slippery for a hotel. There was no nonslip matt or nonslip surface in the tub. I am over 60 and able bodied but I fell hard and my foot hit the faucet. There was absolutely nothing to grab to break my fall. It was scary. The front desk then provided me with a nonslip matt and said they were aware of the slippery tubs which shocked me because why would they open themselves up for injury lawsuits due to KNOWN slippery tub conditions to the hotel? That struck me as odd and negligent. 2) Body Wash container in the shower was completely empty. Good thing I had a new bar of Dove soap! 3) On the 3rd day of our stay, we removed the privacy sign to get our room cleaned, only to return 12 hours later to find the room uncleaned. Turns out they only clean every OTHER day, but no one bothered to mention that when we checked in and we were checking out the next day. In conclusion, BEWARE because at any age, you can slip and fall in those tubs and really injure yourself or worse. Hopefully, they will see this review and remedy that insidious condition. There is a Hampton Inn nearby so I think next year, we'll stay there.

based on reviews, compared to other Marriott properties along I95, we chose this hotel. there are lots of mediocre Marriotts to choose from. this one is six years old and not worn out. staff was super nice and helpful. only complaint: in unit HVAC systems are not preferred. I would stay here again

Great quick trip to visit family that lives nearby. We wanted a hotel that had an indoor pool and this was the only facility that had one in the area. The pool was a bit cold for indoor and it was small but it did the trick. I was disappointed that our room did not have a bathtub like the description said but all in all was happy with our stay. They offered a great free got breakfast too.

Excellent! Immaculate and spotless room. Always friendly and general manager was quick to resolve some “stuff we left behind” issue. This is a good halfway point on our trek north. We will be back! The facility is well maintained and comfortable.

No one was at the front desk when we arrived with no way of notifying staff that we or the other guests were waiting. After a long drive, waiting ten minutes for someone to arrive at the front desk with no idea when and if someone would come was too long. I had the same issue when trying to check out and had to leave without seeing anyone. Management should be scheduling more than one person to man the desk if their job requires them to leave their position for extended periods of time or they need a system where employees are notified of guests waiting. I will also add that I had called prior to my arrival to note the time we would be there as it was after check in time. I have never experienced this when staying at other hotels even when arriving much later and it was enough of an inconvenience that I would not choose this hotel again. Next time I will stick with the Hampton Inn.

We really enjoyed our stay and was very pleased with everything.
