Very good over all Thank you. Although I missed a curtain or blind at the bathroom window & extra bathroom mat. Beautiful surroundings. We slept very well. Nicely situated. Maybe a light will help for loadshedding candles can be dangerous especially unattended. But I love it when came back in the dark and someone left a light on for us, that was thought full. Thanks it was a lekker stay.

We spent two excellent days at the Highland Rose Country Rose where we were able to see the sights of Dullstroom, experience snow, and have two delicious breakfasts. The house itself has an old world charm to it with original fixtures and beautiful stained glass windows and window seats. There are some elements that need an update but I'm sure the new owners will get to it soon enough. The rose garden weren't in bloom because of the season but I am sure it will be beautiful in the summer. The snow made the place look like Narnia! Follow the written instructions provided because google takes you on a 4x4 route through the countryside.

We spent 3 nights at Blue Crane Farm and booked the lovely Kingfisher chalet. It has 2 comfortable en suite bedrooms, pristine white linen and comfortable mattresses. Panel heaters and excellent fireplace ensured that we were nice and cosy in the Dullstroom winters. The kitchen was well equipped and we loved the finer touches e.g. hooks for jackets/coats and stands for fishing rods. All the staff and management (Salumé, Alex, David and Lazarus) were extremely helpful and efficient with bookings and when we encountered an electrical problem. Fishing was great, dams were literally 10 meters away from Kingfisher, and we caught quite a few large trout. Kids had a blast on the farm, rowing, cycling, running. Chalets far enough from each other to ensure privacy. We will definitely pay Blue Crane another visit soon! Thank you for a memorable weekend away!.
