We checked in late and receptionist was very efficency + friendly.I had rang earlier in the day to say we would be arriving later.Reception asked what time as food finished being served at 9pm.I was happy to know this + we stopped on route as our arrival time was due to be 9 30.We had a lovely spacious room and enjoyed a few drinks in the bar
Only small quip: barman didn't let the Guinness settle before top up.Told me "that will be grand in a few minutes" To me that indicates he knew he should wait.Tasted lovely!
Did ask what type of tonic I would like for gin which I was happy about

The Hotel, Staff, Food and Golf are all 5 star, we had a wonderful experience from the moment we arrived until our check out, our evening meal in the restaurant was a highlight and we enjoyed are time in the hotel and will most definitely be back

DEF NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL!!!!! Only decent thing about the place is outside grounds which are lovely if u don't mind getting hit with a golf ball. Inside no foyer to sit in upon entrance. Reception staff are the most rudest I have ever met, not helpful at all and you can tell they don't want to be there. No info provided at check in re breakfast, swimming pool times ect. Upon checkout not one word was said from receptionist , just took key cards without so much as a thank you or goodbye.Bar is more like a cafe with no entertainment on what so ever. Dinner was cold, flavourless , I've tasted better school dinners. Upon entering the bedroom we were met with dirty bedsheets which had blood stains on them ( pic attached). Phoned reception and housekeeping did come quickly and change them but should not of been put on in 1st place. Breakfast too many people at once and not one staff member offered us tea/ coffee. Had to finally approach someone and ask for it. Def would never be returning to this hotel and Def not 4 star. Staff, food, cleanliness all needs to be addressed asap.

Our bridge club have just returned from a 2 night stay and the staff and food were excellent. Rooms and amenities were wonderful. Nothing was too much bother for the staff - hopefully we will return next year. Highly recommend this hotel……..

Such a great hotel. Buried in the countryside and with extensive gardens. Excellent breakfast buffet and lunch and dinner are just as good. Nice rooms, not amazing but nice. The bar is modern and spacious with a large terrace area that acts as a sub trap.

It was a truly lovely stay as always. The only comment I would make is about the hot tub outside. It’s a pity it’s so grubby. Everything else was perfect and the new restaurant was ace! Loved every bite and what great service

Another excellent 2 night stay in this hotel, from the moment we entered we were treated like regular guests, friendly staff from the reception right through to the bar staff, always ready for some craic and a friendly smile, our stay was made even more special when a last minute request was agreed by the manager Thomas.

Everything was spotless. Heating not adjusted to account for the freezing weather outside. Bar and restaurant quite chilly. Staff were lovely and the food was delicious
