Absolutely beyond my expectations! The staff were so nice! We had come from a desert camping trip and they let us check in at 8am without any question, which we were so grateful for. The shower was good and the bed was soft and comfortable. This is a huge change from our previous hotel in the moon crescent area (also ”5” star). Breakfast was plentiful and had options for all. They delivered yoghurt to the rooms in the afternoon. The location is great. It took 10 minutes to walk to the night market and mall. Overall, I would book this hotel over and over again! Fabulous! Thanks for a great stay!

This is a real review. The hotel is one of the most popular hotels in Dunhuang. When it comes to service, there is one thing to say, which is very good. The security guard at the door took the initiative to carry luggage after seeing it. The lady at the front desk was warm and thoughtful. She wiped her hands with towels before sending tea when she entered the hotel; it is worth mentioning that the front desk saw me alone and took the initiative to upgrade the double bed room for me. The room has a humidifier. Refrigerators and safes are particularly complete. At night, the waiter is very considerate to bring the footbath, and you can soak your feet when you return to the room. The hygiene is cleaned in time and is very clean. The heating and hot water in the rooms are very good, and the service staff are polite and patient. These are real advantages. The transportation is convenient, and you can get a taxi when you go out (the lady at the front desk will help you to call a taxi), and there is a free underground parking lot. Friends who drive are not afraid of parking inconvenience. You can eat, drink and have fun near the hotel. I have recommended it to my colleagues, and I will choose Wansheng next time I come to Dunhuang.

Location is great as it is right in the city centre, a stone’s throw away from the night market and loads of shops and restaurants around. The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was upgraded to have a window, staff would help me get a taxi and tell the driver where I wanted to go ie to Mogao caves and bus station. Another staff would help me get my laundry done by a third party and placed them in my room when it was delivered. Room had basic necessities ie hot water, working aircon, clean toilet though carpet needs a it of care. Overall very satisfied for the price paid.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, it is great value for money and the room is comfortable. My only negative comment would be that as a non-smoker, the room was a bit smelly, but I left the window open for a day and it aired out nicely. Every single person working at the hotel were extremely kind and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable and convenient. They even helped me to post some souvenirs back to my house that I couldn’t fit in my suitcase. I was travelling alone and it can be a bit intimidating to travel away from major cities with my less than conversational level of Chinese, but I was made to feel so welcome and I am very grateful for the amazing hospitality. The location is fantastic, walking distance to a lot of nice places to eat and the night market. There was a cheap and decent gym within 8 minutes walking of the hotel and nowhere was too far to go by taxi. For foreigners, I recommend taking the taxi to Doujiaduncun villagers committee to take your PCR test. It’s about 5 minutes by taxi and they can help deal with PCR tests for foreigners who don’t have access to the QR code. You must go back the next day to pick up the results. The people at the testing site are also very helpful. I loved my visit to Dunhuang so much, the landscape is incredible and the people here are so nice. I will definitely come back again!

From the expectation of booking to the surprise of staying in, everything is just right! The rooms are big and don’t need them. The furnishings and furnishings of the rooms are full of care. 358 booked for the two. We boarded the car at Dunhuang Night Market and arrived at the camping base. The base facilities are fairly complete, with restrooms and a place to put luggage. After arriving, there are desert motorcycles, sand boarding, hot pot, performances, bonfires, starry sky, and sunrise projects. There is an additional rent for sandboarding shoe covers, and an additional fee to go to the desert to see the stars. During the hot pot dinner, the emcee started all kinds of programs. The thick rural soil was very windy and the horns were very loud. For people like me who just want to eat quietly, the performance of the show is basically embarrassing and torture. However, the whole staff is really hard. The whole team includes food, driver, and host in all aspects. The cost feels quite high. But I think the basic hygiene and comfort are still not done well. The tent is the cheapest and simplest kind. The sleeping bag should never be washed or even opened when it is aired. It’s not too cold to sleep at night, but the roar of desert motorcycles will continue until two or three o'clock, and will not stop until all those who watch the starry sky come back. We didn't go to see the stars in the depths of the desert with the driver. We got up at two or three in the morning and looked around the camp for a while. The effect was okay, but it was definitely not as good as taking a car to go to the deep desert with less light. In general, this camp is suitable for young people in their 20s who like to be lively and exciting. It is not recommended for families who like to be quiet and with children. It is too noisy and the key sanitary conditions are really average.
