Lovely place, not in a walkable area but close by didi to all the attractions. Owners are very kind and helpful!

Very friendly host. Helped us with a tour to the scenic places. Answers requests very quick. You can order food and breakfast. AC with heater option. Hot shower. Near the Desert, you can walk there.

We had a lovely stay here in a peaceful area close to the sand dunes. The room was bright and clean and comfortable and the staff were so kind and helpful. It’s just a short taxi ride to town for dinner and you can even walk to crescent moon lake if you want! Though you shouldn’t in the hot weather.

An amazing stay at Dunhuang Hu Yang Inn. Firstly, the location of this inn was phenomenal: it was both close to the Mingsha Mountain and Dunhuang city, which made getting food and exploring the area very convenient. The service was great: the owner voluntarily brought our luggage to the second floor and provided useful information about tourist destinations. The common room area was also very clean and put together. There were snacks and board games available. The hotel room was homey and comfortable. I particularly enjoyed the bay window, where we had a nice view of the surroundings. Overall, an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend!

There is a concrete road on the side of the homestay leading to the entrance gate to Minh Sa mountain area, only 1.5km walk. The taxi route is about 3km, only 5¥ (opening price is 5¥ and 1.8¥/km. The area in front of the entrance to Minh Sa mountain has many restaurants, souvenir shops, and convenience stores). . There is no restaurant around the homestay, but the receptionist is willing to drive you to the restaurant, even if you check in late. The restaurants she recommends are all very delicious and often include a free dish. One minus point is that our toilet in room 613 was clogged.
