Tianhe hotel is the best hotel you can book currently in Dunhuang, China in my opinion! The staff was very kind and made sure I was taken care of as a foreigner! They helped me order take out as I was too late for breakfast and lunch. The room was very spacious. I do wish they had a bathtub. The only issue was that the bathroom floor was sticky upon arrival and after they cleaned the room the next day. I enjoyed the foot bath they prepared for me. It was relaxing after returning from Crescent Spring which is close by. It was a good experience!

Great in general

This hotel is awkward. The location is worse than the State Guesthouse, but not as good as the Sunshine Sand Island Hotel. Although it is a garden-style hotel, its scale and design are obviously not as good as the State Guesthouse. The price is only slightly lower, and it is maintained at more than 700 in the off-season. . The hotel consists of multiple buildings. The gate is actually very grand and much better looking than the official picture. There are also plenty of parking spaces. The lobby is double-story and incorporates many Dunhuang flying design elements. The murals on both sides are very beautiful. The decoration of the public area can feel that a lot of money has been invested, and there are facilities such as swimming pools, which can be said to be very rare in Dunhuang. Even the State Guesthouse, which has a building as a health center, does not have a swimming pool. . The room should be upgraded. The highest 5th floor and the 6th floor are offices. There is a rooftop where you can go up to enjoy the view. Unfortunately, the hotel is still located in a no-fly zone, otherwise it must be very comfortable to take off from the rooftop. Speaking of the high-end hotel group in Dunhuang, only Dunhuang Villa can fly, and Biyue can't. . The room window faces the hotel gate, and you can also see Mingsha Mountain (first picture). The area is about 40 square meters, which is quite spacious. There is a standard desk, a sofa by the window and a floor-to-ceiling window. The mattress is thick latex and very comfortable. Free water is Nongfu Spring, tea bags are Lipton, instant coffee, and there is a small refrigerator. The cooling is very powerful, but now the air conditioning should only be turned on in the afternoon. It is still a bit hot in the room at nearly 30 degrees in the morning. . There is a night bed service in the evening, and a wooden barrel and a thermos are placed, so you can soak your feet comfortably. It is quite considerate, but! The hotel only has bathtubs above the executive suite, and the non-suites obviously have reserved bathtubs but they were not installed in the end, so there is a strange large space in the bathroom. Although there is no bathtub, bath salts are put in, which is a bit weird. . The Herborist used for amenities is quite good, the shower system feels average, and there is no smart toilet. To be honest, the configuration of the guest room is obviously a level higher than that of the public area, and it is quite mediocre in all aspects. If I come to Dunhuang again in the future, I probably won’t choose it again.

The environment is very good, close to the Dunhuang Museum, and very close to the city and Mingsha Mountain Crescent Lake. The room was cleaned in a timely manner, especially Tian Xiaozhuan, who was warm and thoughtful, took the initiative to consider the guests and sent foot bath water to the room in advance. I love the city of Dunhuang. The people are simple and kind. The hotel is clean and sanitary, and the service attitude is very good. The room I was originally given was a bit noisy due to the activities. I asked for a change and the front desk immediately changed it for me. They also sent welcome fruits and snacks.
