Ken is the consummate host and the nicely landscaped guest house is lovely inside and out. Hard to beat the view of the loch. Enjoying that during the exquisite breakfast will remain a fond memory. Lots to see and do in Dunoon, a gem known for more sunshine than many places in Scotland. We would return in a heartbeat.

This is the best privately run establishment I have ever stayed in. The owner is super helpful and accommodating. The room was immaculate, with really nice attention to detail. Breakfast was generous, with several options. I can happily recommend this guest house without hesitation.

Douglas Park Guest house has to be the best guest house we have stayed in! We immediately felt very welcomed by the very friendly owner Kenny. The room was spectacular. It was huge & comfy with stunning views to the Clyde. It was lovely having two soft seats and a coffee table by the window to enjoy the view. There was lovely little touches like Tunnocks teacakes left every morning. The breakfast was just the best, with huge choice and very tasty. Kenny was very helpful and his local knowledge is vast. He gave us loads of helpful tips. The area itself is lovely and we filled our 6 day stay very easily! I cannot rate this place highly enough. I would give 6 stars if it was available!

This truly is an exceptional guest house, and we have stayed in quite a few over the years. The building is a gem with high ceilings, a stately staircase and original features. The welcome from Ken and help we received from the moment we arrived set us up for the next 3 nights. He suggested a location for our first evenings dinner ( always a dilemma on arriving in a new place we find )and on taking up his recommendation , he booked it for us. It was a good choice too.. We had a comfortable downstairs room which looks to the rear, that had its own separate bathroom, but this was only a few steps away , was spacious and there were dressing gowns in the wardrobe ; A thoughtful touch. With no traffic noise . We slept well. The residents lounge has a lovely sea view, so we made good use of it each evening, watching the boats coming and goings and yes.. saw the porpoises. Breakfasts are superb.. lovely fresh fruit salads, yoghurts seeds etc. Not being Full scottish eaters we found The smoked salmon and scrambled eggs particularly delicious. Ken truly is a superb host who truly loves where he lives , who has created a relaxing, restful , luxurious oasis, that is worthy of an Alastair Sawday listing. We hope to return soon..

Lovely stay here from start to reluctant leave time, Ken is a friendly host who gave us lots of ideas for places to visit, eat etc. Our room was gorgeous with a sea view & very roomy with lots of extras. Breakfast was quality produce cooked very well, Ken even chilled our wine that we left in our room while we were out and about. We plan to return as soon as we can.

Just had a single night stay in the Douglas Park. The owner Ken is a great guy very welcoming and helpful. Room was very clean and well appointed (biscuits, tea cake and a chocolate mint) No complaints at all about the breakfast. Choice of cereals, yogurt, juice plenty of tea, coffee and toast along with an excellent cooked breakfast. The outlook from the breakfast room is stunning. Not a single complaint about this stay from me.
