Reception generally unmanned Generally rundown looking hotel but actually my room (69) seemed ok with a nice superking bed. Slept ok and quite comfortable but when I woke I realised by door hasn’t auto closed so the room was open all night. The green king pub attached: staff were very nice but food was very microwaved or re heated and some really not very nice. Breakfast was horrendous and at £9 a joke One day half the items were missing. Sausages must of been cooked a month ago and re heated. I wouldn’t have paid for it if I had a choice. Would not stay here again

The room I had for the second week running had no heating, but they did provide an electric heater which I couldn’t keep on because of the noise it made. I arrived for breakfast at 8.00 on Sunday morning with only 4 people in there and ordered immediately as I had a meeting arranged for 9.00, but by 8.35 there was still no sign of my breakfast so I had to leave. I would at the very least be compensated for the £9.00 I paid for breakfast but a little extra would be appreciated. Regards Chris Skudder

Stayed for 1 night. Room clean and comfortable. Had an evening meal. From ordering the meal took an hour to be served. Food wasn't great

The good bits:
All staff throughout bar/restaurant and hotel that we encountered were friendly,helpful and provided an excellent service.
We had one complaint about noisy people staying in another room of which was swiftly dealt with.
Our room provided more than I expected such as hair/body lotion for bath/shower and hand soap at the sink(all environmentally safe).A hair drier,ironing board and iron provided.
The complimentary tray of tea/coffee,milk and sugar was refreshed daily and the bins emptied.
The bed was very comfortable ,the room was very warm.Too warm for us so we just opened the window.
The bad bits:
A damp patch behind the door.
Towels were not refreshed daily.
Loose toilet seat(now reported).
We would definitely stay here again and would look forward too it.

The check in was easy and the room lovely nice and clean. The only gripe we have was the radiator was stuck on, so was very hot in the room even with the windows open.

Stayed here just one night ready for a flight from Luton Airport the next day. George on reception was very welcoming and chatty. We stayed in room 59 which was large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast next morning was just a short walk to the restaurant across the car park. Friendly lady took our breakfast order which was freshly cooked and tasty. Would happily stay here again.

Friendly welcome from Tom & JJ. Wouldn’t have ever stayed here but the M1 was closed on my to Canterbury. No idea what Dunstable is like but found The Highwayman. My room 34 was very comfortable for a single. The heating was definitely fixed and the whole building I think has recently been refurbished. Had chicken strips and can recommend that and the peri peri sauce was awesome. Service from the bar area and the restaurant lady was nice. I will definitely visit here again.
