I have been a guest at this hotel at least 75 times in the past 3 years. I travel for a living and am frequently on lay-overs in Atlanta. I wish I could write a separate review for the hotel and all of the wonderful members of the hotel and restaurant staff. This hotel has been in the Perimeter Mall area for almost 40 years. It is truly a classic property. It is wildly popular for large functions and at times it is impossible to get a reservation. FYI there is another IHG property close by. The hotel offers all of the most conventional amenities. The restaurants are absolutely amazing for any/all meals. Raymando is a spectacular chef and runs a tight ship in the kitchens, yet he always seems to find time to visit with patrons when he has time. The staff seem to respect and appreciate the quality of food that the kitchens deliver. My absolute favorite is the grilled salmon (when available). The standard preparation includes a Hoisin sauce that I opt out of. I have had this dish 50+ times and have NEVER been disappointed. The Parkwood Burger is one of the best burgers anywhere. The fried chicken is amazing. I have never had a disappointing meal. The whole of the Parkwood Grill restaurant is completely glass covered. It is so beautifully positioned in the wooded area behind the hotel. Being in the restaurant area on a rainy day offers the most beautiful views of water cascading across the glass. There are not enough kind words to describe all of the incredible staff members at the hotel. From the Valet/Bell stand at the front door to the Reception/Check-In desk, to the bars and restaurant and up to the housekeeping and maintenance professionals, You will not be disappointed. Over the years that I have been staying at the hotel, some members of the staff have gone on to new opportunities and left the hotel. One of the most incredible bartenders, Brittany, recently left the hotel and has found a new home for her amazing professional service and mixology skills. She is missed by so many. One note, during the breakfast service, one of the management team usually finds their way around the dining area with a tray full of the most incredible fresh juice mixtures. I am usually blessed to be visited by Sandy on these occasions. She always greets me a a known guest and provides me a description of the fresh juice that is complimentary during the breakfast. She is so personable. I always enjoy getting to visit with her on her rounds and listen to her tell me about all the exciting things happening in the kitchens, restaurant and bar. She is an incredible spokesperson for the hotel. She along with Rosemary at the Hotel Check-In/Reception desk, Michael at the Parkwook Cafe Host Stand and Tuk on the Parkwood service staff, Mahbub behind the bar, along with so many others, will make your experience very memorable. Additionally, there are the most beautiful grounds at the hotel. One side of the hotel faces the Perimeter Mall area and is very pleasant. T
