We only stayed one night in Durango but should have stayed more as there's a lot to do in this town. The hotel was fine and located a block off of the downtown Main Street so it was easy to walk to restaurants and shopping. The room was large with a balcony and french doors looking out to the indoor swimming pool. They do have blinds on the doors for privacy. The room was dated with repaired ceiling areas showing and a single light bulb weirdly attached to the ceiling. They could have probably used a nicer light fixture instead of just a bulb. The breakfast was typical hotel fare and OK. We would stay here again.

This was one of my favorite stops on my six-week trip. Clean, comfortable room and an excellent breakfast buffet that should satisfy the pickiest of eaters. The friendly staff helped me to feel at home during my stay. An excellent location that is a short stroll to the Durango train station and downtown.

We really enjoyed our stay at this Best Western. I can't even count how many BW's we've been to, but this one is now one of our favorites. The breakfast had many more options than typical, including fresh berries on each of the mornings we were there. When I saw there was a happy hour, I thought it might be boring watery wines and beers, but there were cocktails too and the margarita I ordered was really delicious. The woman bartending was so friendly and gave us some good information about traffic issues we might face the next day. We had a room without an exterior window (just windows to the corridor), but that did not bother us because we felt it was a bit quieter and had less foot traffic than the rooms facing the central pool. I appreciated that the pool closed at 9pm because we like to go to bed early and it was quiet enough to do so. We were mainly in the area to see Mesa Verde, and even though it's a bit of a drive from the hotel, we're glad we chose to stay where we did.

Staff very welcoming, sent us a pre-welcome text. Check in and check out was quick and efficient. Clean room. Happy hour and breakfast were a nice treat. Very comfy pillows. Extremely close to downtown. Free parking onsite. Sincerely appreciate all the kindness at the end of our long trip.

We stayed for two nights and very much enjoyed it! Check in by Grace was very nice! The layout can be a bit confusing at first, but it all makes sense once you get the hang of it. Room 236 was spacious and very clean; we had a small balcony facing the train yard. A toilet issue was promptly resolved. The rooms are built around the pool and hot tub; the laundry room is in the back of the fitness room on the 2nd floor. They have Happy Hour every night from 5.30 to 7.30 and we were asked if we wanted vouchers for it. The A/C in the room was very loud and blew like a hurricane even on the lowest setting but we opened the balcony door and were just fine (it was nice and cold those nights). The bed was a bit hard for my taste and the pillows were super thick, but it all worked out well. The breakfast ladies were amazing! They worked like crazy, refilling, answering questions, cooking, cutting fresh strawberries, cleaning tables.....and the food was great. Lots of choices, food was hot and tasty; the only thig I would have liked to see was yoghurt (preferably plain). The location to town and the rail deport are great! There is ample parking and it is included with the room.

Parking lot was a mess. If you are a light sleeper skip thos one. Also make sure not to forget anything in your room the staff will steal it.

For 26 years we have been staying at this property. It is comfortable, clean, great location. EXCELLENT staff. A Happy Hour for the 21 and over each night. A laundry room. A great breakfast buffet and and an all night coffee/tea bar by the elevator. Comfy beds. Great views from the 3rd floor room with a balcony.
